1. What is a Message Board?

A message board is an online resource where people can conduct virtual discussions about common interests. Other people join in on these discussions, referred to as “posts,” creating groups of related messages known as “discussion threads” or “threads.” Message boards are a great tool to post questions, get answers, and connect with likeminded people.

2. Can I read posts in the message boards without registering?

Yes, you can browse and read messages on our boards. If you would like to join in on the discussion by posting or replying to a message, you do need to register (it only takes a moment and it’s FREE).

3. Is there a fee involved if I participate on the message boards?

No, there are no costs involved. You may read, post and reply to as many messages as you’d like.

4. How do I read messages on the message boards?

Simply click on a board topic of interest. A page will appear that includes a list of discussions posted. Just click on the subject title that you’re interested in and the related messages in that discussion will be available for you to read.

5. How do I reply to a message?

Replying to a message is easy. Click on the "Post Your Reply" option which appears under the message you would like to respond to. Remember, you need to register to post and reply to messages.

6. How do I post a new message?

Your first step is to sign in. You must be signed in to the community in order to share your questions and suggestions with others.

To post a new message, choose an appropriate message board topic for your post. After you click on that topic, the board will load. You will then see a "Post New Message" option on the right side of the page. Click on that button and begin to post your new message.

If you are reading a discussion thread and would like to start a new discussion, you can post your message by selecting the "Start a New Discussion" option which is located at the top and bottom of the page.

7. Are there any guidelines that outline what is allowed or prohibited in the message boards?

Yes. Prior to participating in message board discussions, we recommend you first refer to our Message Board Rules of Conduct and our Terms of Use, which govern your use of this website, including the Message Boards.

8. What can I do if a post is offensive, inappropriate or violates the Message Board Rules of Conduct?

To keep our boards a positive place for appropriate discussions, we encourage our users to notify us when they see a post that doesn’t reflect our standards of conduct. Simply click on the “Report a Violation” button. We will review the post to determine appropriate next steps.

9. Can I search for messages that focus upon a particular subject matter?

Yes. Our message boards include a search and an advanced search feature which allows users to find messages that have already been posted covering a specific topic.

10. Why are there stars next to some of the discussion titles in the boards?

Our registered users have the ability to assign a star rating to messages. If you find a specific message post informative, interesting, or of value to you, we encourage you to assign it an appropriate star rating.

11. How do I keep track of the conversations that I have participated in?

Once you have posted a message, you will see a small yellow flag next to the subject line of the post. This flag will be visible when you have either replied to or started a conversation.

12. How do I get notified when there are new posts to a conversation that I am interested in?

In order to get notified via email, you must subscribe to the conversation. This can be done by clicking on "Subscribe to this Discussion" which appears on the upper left side of the page above the initial post in the discussion thread. If at anytime you want to unsubscribe from a conversation you can do so by visiting "Personalize Your Experience" on the message board home page.

13. Can I e-mail a post or a discussion thread to a friend?

To email a post to a friend, simply click on "Email" (this appears in the top right corner above the initial post in the thread) and the form will then load. You can even send a personalized message as well.

14. How do I add a picture to my message board posts?

To add a photo or icon just click on "My Profile" which is in the top right rail underneath the heading “Members.” Once your profile loads, you can then click on "Edit My Profile" which is in the top right side of the page. Once the Profile Control Center loads you will then click on "Profile Picture" which is located on the left side of the page. From there you can upload your photo and change it at any time as well. In the Profile Control Center you can also update your profile page to include your workouts, your daily food journal and favorite supplements.
