Comments about the Vitamin Shoppe B-Complex 50 - 100 Veggie Caps:

I can not find another B Complex-50 that has 300 mcg of Biotin. Without this, I would need to take an additional capsule. The balance of the other B vitamins is good. I take two veggie caps daily.

Comments about the Vitamin Shoppe B-Complex 50 - 100 Veggie Caps:

I received a product I did not order. The one I received has maltodextrin (sugar). Why does a vitamin one swallows have sugar in it, not logical. The vitamin b on the website does not have the same ingredients. Also when I buy from the Vitamin Shoppe physical store the vitamin b does not have maltodextrin (sugar). I normally use the vitamin B once a day after breakfast.

I find that the B-50 Complex does help with my energy level throughout the day -- there is a difference on the days that I forget to take it. Take it apart from your multi-vitamin.

B vitamins are very important to the body. I take the complex so I don't have to take each individual pill.

I want to know does b complex give you mood swings?
                    providencia p on Dec 13, 2013
Best Answer: Not aware of mood swings from B-Complex 50. Most of us have some mood swing from low blood sugar (should come from complex carbohydrates and not the simple carbs as in white sugar). Also, lack of sound sleep and lack of minerals, lack of water. Serious mood swings are a subject for a medical checkup.

is it methyl, or cyano cobalamin (b12)? Supp facts says methylcyanocobalamin.
                    N B on Aug 16, 2014
Best Answer: I know nothing about the form or source of the B-Complex 50 product. In the literature I have read through the years, unless I have a strong reason to know those things, I don't worry with it. It might be good to know. More important to me is the dose of all the B-vitamins. Adelle Davis's books that deal with vitamins and minerals are hard to beat, although some of her information has been outdated. Our intestines produce some B-vitamins and experimental B-vitamin deficiency cannot be produced until the diet is meticulously restricted and the production of B-vitamins are suppressed. For vegetarians, the B-12 is the problem because it is almost entirely restricted to an animal source. I am not totally vegetarian but live mostly on plant foods. I have had Guillain Berre' (French Polio) and have damaged nerves. Therefore, I don't take chances with Vitamin B-12 deficiency. For that, I use the sub-lingual form (under the tongue) so that it is absorbed directly into the blood and not the stomach (which could be a real problem for some people who cannot absorb B-12 in the stomach). I approach it from a different angle in that I have had kidney stones and therefore take Magnesium Citrate and Vitamin B-6 to avoid a build up of stuff that produces 90% of all kidney stones. In taking B-6, I don't take it alone since a single B vitamin taken over time will produce a deficiency in all the other B-vitamins. Therefore, I take a B-complex and take the lowest dose I can find, which is this product. You didn't ask about all of this but it comes with my package of why I take it. Hope this helps. I recommend that you get all of Adelle Davis's books (long time out of print) from Amazon, eBay, or Abe Books or just Google it. My kidney stones taught me well and for 40 years I have taken Adelle's advice to avoid stones, which I have done.
