Comments about the Vitamin Shoppe B12 Methylcobalamin 1000 MCG - 120 Lozenges:

I've had low B12 all my life. I couldn't tolerate the shots and even though I took a regular B12 supplement - cyanocobalamin - my levels still did not get much past 100. I couldn't get through the day without a nap, I was severely depressed, and I had developed neuropathy. My neurologist suggested I try Methylcobalamin.

Knowing the reputation of The Vitamin Shoppe's products and their reasonable prices, I started with 1000 mcg of the Vitamin Shoppe Methylcobalamin and my B12 shot up to over 300, then 400, now I am taking 1 1/2 lozenges per day and my levels are over 600! I feel so much better and my doctor is very pleased.

I have tried another brand, but it was very chalky and unpalatable. So, I am actually ordering 2 bottles this time - 1 for me and 1 for my mom. Thank you Vitamin Shoppe for an excellent product!

Comments about the Vitamin Shoppe B12 Methylcobalamin 1000 MCG - 120 Lozenges:

This is the first time in over 30 yeasrs that I've had to use B12. After just reading where the diagnosis I recently received said my body will be very low of B12 and will need supplements did I decide to follow up. So, I stopped into the Vitamin Shoppe and bought this B12 over the one's that contains cyanocobalamin. (This too was after researching the differences.) I'm so not disappointed either. I could feel the B12 boost immediately! These were really great and I just need to say, "thank you" for having such an affordable, palatable and useful product VS!!

Comments about the Vitamin Shoppe B12 Methylcobalamin 1000 MCG - 120 Lozenges:

As we mature we do not assimilate B12 and this is so easy to let it dissolve in your mouth every morning with the refreshing taste and more energy for the day.
This is much easier for me than the hassle of getting injections.
(I will receive 10 points for taking time to do this and I was raised to only comment on the positives.)

Comments about the Vitamin Shoppe B12 Methylcobalamin 1000 MCG - 120 Lozenges:

For starters, the Methylcobamlamin form of vitamin B12 is the better of the two forms because it's more easily absorbed by the body than the cheaper type of B12. I've tried other brands and was very disappointed, as they dissolved too quickly under my tongue and tasted way too sweet. This product tastes better, it's not an overpowering taste, and it dissolves slower under the tongue, which is preferable. I put 2 lozenges under my tongue after my main meal of the day to counteract the sleepiness effect of digestion, without taking caffeine. I avoid caffeine because caffeine is a migraine headache trigger. Don't expect the energy effect of a couple of lozenges to be as strong as caffeine, it's not, it's more subtle. I also take it at other times of the day. I've never exceeded 4 lozenges in one day and would never take more than 5, I don't think massive doses of anything is good. I've been taking this for years and would never take a chance on any other brand.

I need to take B12 twice a week and the chewable form is the easiest way for me. These have a good flavor, are small, and don't upset my stomach.

Comments about the Vitamin Shoppe B12 Methylcobalamin 1000 MCG - 120 Lozenges:

Using daily mid-morning at work; I do seem to have more energy throughout the day since taking one a day. However, it does not dissolve under tongue as bottle says, rather you need to chew it up. That's fine with me, as it doesn't have an unplesant taste. I don't get any jitters, as another reviewer mentioned.

I take this B-12 because I had to have my thyroid removed and no matter the brand of thyroid med it always had bad side effects. As long as I take this B-12 the side effects are under control, which was A very bad itching and burning skin. I take at least 3 A day to keep it under control.
