Beverly W: I take one KELP and a Super Citrimax every day before breadfast. I can't guarentee it helps, but I could never lose weight before, and I have lost 22 pounds since January and I am keeping it off. I also have a PEA Protein shake every morning for breakfast, so I don't know for sure what is really helping, but something is working. Aug 6, 2013

Kim H: Is the Super Citrimax something you get at the Vitamin Shoppe and what is a PEA Protein shake?
Thank you so much! I haven't been able to lose weight no matter what I do, so maybe this will work for me as well. I can only hope. Aug 6, 2013
Diane K asked: I wanted to know if the kelp used in this product is organic. I have read that kelp can have a lot of pollutants from the ocean. I want to take this product for breast health. Is it safe? Feb 14, 2014

A Vitamin Shoppe customer asked: What is the source of your Iodine? Jul 15, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Davon B: Iodine is found naturally in the ocean like salt water and is readily absorbed by sea vegetables like kelp.

I would contact the company to validate the source of the kelp and how these minerals listed were extracted and potassium iodide created.

Iodine, not the elemental form on the periodic table but the naturally occurring mineral in the ocean is readily available in sea foods.

From reading kelp naturally has a low absorption of macro metals that are harmful but I would read up...I looked online and reviewed this as a safer brand to obtain these minerals in pill form but I always try to eat a variety of foods to obtain proper nutrition.

      Be well,

Lori G: I started having diarreha after 2 years of taking this product. On line research indicates that is a common side effect with prolonged use. I prefer Iodoral. No side effects and it raised my iodine levels in my lab work. Jul 15, 2014

Emanuel S asked: My wife eats very healthy foods all the time. She never over eats and has struggled with weight gain. She works out very hard and is unable to lose any weight. She was told by her Dr. that it could be thyroid. Based on the information we have received the supplements needed to stimulate the thyroid are all in this product. Is anyone taking this for thyroid and if so have you noticed any difference? Thank you in advance for any comments. Jul 10, 2014
