Comments about KAL Magnesium Glycinate (400 MG) - 90 Tablets:

I was at the point in life where I was not getting very good sleep. In fact, I probably only slept well once/week. Since taking one Mag Glyc each night, I have very few sleepless nights. Some times when I feel a bit more stressed, I will take 1 1/2 with no side effects.

    Not a fan

    By Grant H

    from Undisclosed

Comments about KAL Magnesium Glycinate (400 MG) - 90 Tablets:

After hearing all the hype about Mag Glycinate, I decided to purchase this KAL Brand at the local Vitamin Shoppe. MG Gly is suppose to be at the top as far as bio availability from what I have read. I took this version also because it is suppose to be easy on the stomach. I can tell you from MY experience, this is not the case. I would take 1-2 pills a night before bed and just about every night I would wake up locked up or cramped in my stomach. After getting fed up with this feeling and just the nauseousness that I got from taking these, I went to a Vitamin World in my area and purchased Magnesium Citrate which is just as bio available and has caused me zero problems overall. If I were you id pick up the Mg Citrate first and give it a try. It cost half the price of what you can purchase glycinate for.

A Vitamin Shoppe customer asked: I usually use magnesium citrate and wonder if glycerinate will cause constipation. It was recommended for migraines which I occasionally have. What other benefits does it have over mag citrate? Jun 14, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Lois W: A doctor had recommended I take Magnesium Glycinate because it is a much gentler form of magnesium. It will not constipate, taken in the right quantity it will do the opposite. I found that it is also very helpful for leg and foot cramps and find that I can't do with out it now. Also helps with sleep. Jun 15, 2013

Zorica P: I have an esily upset stomach and the glycinate seems to be no problem. I also use it for migraines. I believe the citrate is also easy on the stomach but I went with the glycicante since that is what is recommended for migraines specifically. Jun 14, 2013

Carrie M: Magnesium Glycinate actually makes stools loose so I titrated the dose for me. Could only tolerate 200mg per day. Jun 15, 2013
