Would love to rate this item. However, I am still waiting to receive what I paid for. As another customer stated, I too did not receive this item in my shipment.

Comments about Longview Farms Pure Refined Emu Oil - 2 Fluid Ounces Liquid:

I purchased emu oil to help regrow the hair on my edges that were thin and bald due to wearing braids and weaves. I've been using emu oil for two weeks and my edges are growing back. I use it twice a day. In the morning before work and at night before bed. I apply with my fingers or a q-tip. I was afraid I had permanently damaged my hair follicles but decided to order emu oil to see if it would help and it did for me. Thanks vitamin shoppe for having this product. Delivery was fast.

I love this oil for my body (can't use it on my face due to breakouts). I use this oil mixed in whipped shea butter and it dramatically reduced burn scars I received over 20 years ago (I can hardly see them now). It took less than 6 months to reduce the scars. You must use it diligently everyday to see results. They claim emu oil goes rancid quickly but I've had mine (kept out of the refrigerator) for almost a year and it's still good. It's recommended to keep it in the refrigerator. If you have scars (burns or acne), I highly recommend trying this. You don't need to use a lot. Mix 2-3 drops with your daily moisturizer. :)

Rukiyat G: Awesome, awesome, awesome oil. It's the special ingredient in one of my favorite hair products, so I decided to look for it. I've read up on the benefits of emu oil and although its pricey it has been worth it for me. I mix it with coconut, jojoba, Vit e, and essential oils for my daily skin oil in place of lotion. I also mix it with my scalp massage oil and moisturizing spray. I also rub it in my hands and apply it directly to the ends of my hair to seal in moisture. Mar 4, 2014

A Vitamin Shoppe customer asked: You have used Emu oil for what, and do you know of Emu Crème? Jun 30, 2014

Nada V: I have used it as a face moisturizer/ wrinkle reducer. The most known use of emu oil is for scar tissue treatment. I do not know of the cream but my suggestion would be to use the oil instead of the cream because it is stronger, you will get better effects and you can always just add it to your own cream. Depending on what you are looking for there are some better oils out there. I recommend flex seed oil (unbelievable lifting effects) and rosehip oil for wrinkles reduction. I would also recommend for you to try out essential oils especially rose absolute 100% pure as well as German chamomile pure...

I hope this helps...for the past few months I have been researching essential oils and I am amazed by results

Carla T: Emu oil is very similar to human fatty acids and is absorbed by our skin quickly. I use it on my face and lips and massage it in. Sort of like feeding my skin instead of just creating a moisture barrier. Plus, a little goes a LONG way! I'm 60 years old and everyone tells me how great my skin looks. I don't use any other moisturizers or oils on my face
anymore. If my scalp is feeling dry, I'll massage Emu oil into it before I go to bed. Works like a charm. I've used plant oils like almond, sesame, olive and grape-seed oil before but they don't soften my skin or give it the elasticity that Emu oil does.

Ali C: While I was pregnant I used a cream for stretch marks on my belly after applying the emu oil, the emu oil also helped extend the other very expensive cream and it helped absorb it. It left my skin soft, if I used it alone. I rubbed it into my hands to warm it then applied to my skin. Jul 2, 2014

Barbara M: I do not know of emu cream. I use the oil for my Psoriasis. It works well for me. My sister uses it for her Rosacea. It reduces her rednesss significantly. Both she and I also take 4 emu oil capsules daily. I would recommend trying emu oil for either of these conditions. Jul 1, 2014

Annette C: I bought it for my scalp, but even putting it on my head the night before I washed my hair made my hair too greasy.
I tried the cream on my hands, and they broke out. Haven't tried this any where else.

GRETTA A: My edges were badly damaged (completely bald), but I watched countless YouTube videos and researched Emu Oil. I decided to try it myself. I have been mixing it with Black Jamaican Castor Oil and I am seeing great results. I am just starting my second bottle. Your edges only require a very small amount and massage the area before (opens pores) and after applying. I hope this was helpful information. Jul 14, 2013

It has no fragrance - which is good, but it has the feel and consistency of melted chicken fat - which is probably what it is very much like since it comes from a large bird. I only used it once or twice - I have no skin problems except a bit of drynes, so I really can't tell you what to do. Sorry. Jan 17, 2014
