Dryden H asked: Is the calcium in this calcium carbonate or calcium citrate? May 27, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Richard B: According to the ingredients list, the calcium appears to be Calcium Carbonate.

Also, the Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) contains the Cyanide molecule when broken down which my wife isn't crazy about. She's changing to something else. You may want to check into this further.

sherry d asked: Is the Vitamin D actually D3 (Cholecalciferol) or another form of Vitamin D? Jan 16, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Franki C: According to the ingredients the vitamins contain cholecalciferol (D3). I've taken these vitamins for almost a year. Turning 64 in two months,I have a schedule that would leave women in their 30s exhausted. I feel great, take no prescription meds, and am very healthy. I eat well and exercise, so its not all the vitamins, but when I don't supplement, I am worn out within two or three weeks. Highly recommend them. Jan 17, 2014
Reply to Franki Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Mary G: The label states 1000 IU of Vitamin D not Vitamin D3. No additional information is given about Vitamin D further down under the ingredient section. I have been taking this multi-vitamin for several years and just ordered Carlson's liquid vitamin D3 per my Doctor's recommendation. Hope this helps. Jan 17, 2014

denise d asked: Can you take aspirin or Advil if you need to while taking alive multi vitamin 50+ for women? I believe that you shouldn't because they are blood thinners. Feb 24, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Joni A: I take a low-dose aspirin daily, and ibuprofen as needed for pain (infrequently). I'm not aware of any contraindications but if you hear of any, I would like to know. Feb 24, 2014
Reply to Joni Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
denise d: OK. Thanks. I read something about resveratrol being a blood thinner, but I don't think that the amount in 50+ is a problem. I read if you take 1000 or more milligrams it can have an adverse effect. however, the amount in 50+ is not even close to that. Feb 24, 2014
Lisa M: I have never heard to not take aspirin of Advil while taking a multivitamin?? Consult your physician if you have a concern. Feb 25, 2014

jacquelyn w asked: Why isn't this version of Alive in liquid form as the Whole Food Energizer? It would be a lot easier for seniors to get down and use. I have kept my 92 year old aunt on the Whole Food Energizer ONLY because it is liquid and that the pill form is not as easy for her to swallow and keep down. Any chance for a liquid form of this? May 4, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Kamal M: I believe it might be a packaging and storage issue, liquid forms are might be more easily perishable and also more susceptible to loosing quality under warmer temperatures, hence making refrigeration a must and shipping and handling more difficult and costly.

It might be that,
Hope that helps.
