Love this prenatal! I have tried a few different kinds now and this is by far the best. Can be taken on an empty stomach and doesn't give me any nausea like other prenatal vitamins. I love that it's organic and made from whole foods rather than lab created chemicals. Perferct for the eco-concious mom or TTC'er. I take it in combination with the New Chapter Whole Mega wild alaskan fish oil with DHA to receive the full prenatal benefits. This is my third bottle now and I can't see myself using anything else.

No nausea taking these while pregnant. My energy level improved and I believe these helped curb my sugar cravings somehow. I ended up losing weight. I am still on them while I nurse. Love New Chapter and yes I'd recommend these to a friend!

Comments about New Chapter Perfect Prenatal - 192 Tablets:

I bought this brand when it was on sale. I liked that it's whole food derived and organic. But the tablets have a peculiar odor to them. (I know a lot of vitamins have odors, but the capsules of another brand aren't quite so smelly to me.) This might by TMI, but they also made my urine smell funny, almost like after eating asparagus. Which I guess might be a good sign that REAL food is used to make them, but again, my previous brand didn't cause this problem. So when this bottle runs out, I'm going back to my old brand of capsules.

We tried another premium brand of prenatal (centrum), and this gave my wife very bad heartburn to the point we were forced to look elsewhere. Bought these as they are all natural organic derived from vegetables, from the first day there was no more heartburn. Happy wife, happy life.

This product did not make me cringe when I had to take it. I took all three pills at once..the smell is not bad or overwhelming and the pills are relatively small. I did not burp it up and did not make my stomach feel queezy. This is the best prenatal I've tried so far. I have tried four of them.

My wife was not able to finish the whole bottle as she complained the vitamins smelled like turpentine, left a bad aftertaste and increased her vomiting. For me as I finished off the bottle, the vitamins smelled like tea and I didn't notice any aftertaste. As there are a number of good brands out there I suppose the best thing to do would be to try out a few different brands and see which one is most agreeable to you.

This was most likely a side effect of being pregnant, not the quality of the vitamin.

I am concerned about the soy in the vitamin... I continue to hear the dangers of soy, especially in infants. Is the soy in this product somehow different than the soy I am told not to consume daily?

Is the folate REALLY folate or the synthetic form, folic acid? I've read on quite a few sites and heard from a few people that folic acid is not the way to go; raising the risk of diseases and cancers. I'd rather avoid it altogether.

Best Answer: I took these while pregnant with my son and remember it was folate not folic acid. I believe everything in these vitamins was food derived and not synthetic like folic acid is.
