Supercritical Fluid Technology

Introducing the latest in the advancement in the manufacture of Omega-3 fish oils. Clean, accurate and efficient, the Supercritical Fluid Technology extraction process results in Omega-3 oils that are concentrated and fractionated to ensure purity.

The driving principle behind this environmentally-friendly technology is the processing of carbon dioxde (Co2) at low temperatures and standardized pressures to achieve a supercritical state. The supercritical Co2 is then used as a processing medium for fish oils.

This state-of-the-art process allows for the separation, purification, concentration and extraction of essential fatty acids in a way that preserves their nutritive value, while removing undesired contaminants and impurities. Additionally, this process preserves the essential fatty acids' molecular structure.

Comments about Vitamin Shoppe Omega 3 Fish Oil 735 Epa / 165 Dha (1290 MG) - 120 Softgels:

This was the first Fish Oil Supplement I have ever taken and I could tell the difference after I used it. After I did some research, I was able to find many brands of fish oil that cost a fraction of the price. But there were two main differences: The cheap brands had only about a third of the OMEGA-3 per pill, and non of them had the "Enteric Coating." All fish oil pills are huge, so the fact that you would only need to take one instead of three is a huge plus. The enteric coating does two things: First it says "burp free" but what it doesn't say is that these pills are odorless in comparison to the alternative. The last alternative brand that I purchased were so smelly that I could not swallow even one (let alone 3). So just for the enteric coating, I find the higher price point well worth it.
