        The smarter activity tracker

Take the stairs. Ride the waves. Walk to the store. Polar Loop tracks all the healthy choices you make during the day and shows how they benefit your overall health. Its unique technology accurately tracks five different levels of activity and can tell the difference between light intensity walking vs.running. When working out, you can even add a Polar H6 or H7 Bluetooth® Smart heart rate sensor for accurate heart rate so you can get credit for indoor cycling classes, pushing a jogging stroller and more!

        Here's how it works

The Polar Loop system includes the Polar Loop activity tracker, the free Polar Flow app and Polar Flow web service. After your initial set up on Polar Flow, a daily activity target is customized for you based on your personal info and global physical activity recommendations. As you move throughout the day, Polar Loop will display an instant view of your activity data including: cumulative steps, calories burned and your daily activity goal bar. To help you reach your activity target Polar Loop displays practical guidance like 'walk for 50 minutes' or 'jog for 20 minutes'. For even more motivation, set inactivity alerts via your smartphone and the Polar Flow app.

Follow your achievements: on your wrist. on the web. on your smartphone.

Polar Loop connects to the new Polar Flow web service that automatically syncs via Bluetooth Smart. These free services provide additional analysis and guidance, including illustrative graphs that show cumulative daily activity and periods of inactivity. Check the Polar Flow web service often to see how all your small choices and daily habits can make a world of difference.

I've tried just about every band out there. And I've been using some form of workout log/tracking type system for over 20 years (back in the day of the little spiral bound Jeff Galloway-based notebook log things). So once the first activity bands started to come out, I jumped on it. Had the very first-gen Jawbone UP band, and like everyone else who had that early model, mine failed. And the replacement they sent also failed. And again. They were nice enough to refund my money. So then the FitBits started to show up. I got one of the FitBit 'One' model - the one that clamps onto your belt or waistband, whatever. Not bad, but it fell off a few times, and I really wanted a better BAND. So then the second-generation UP came out. Also tried it. Bottom line, the UP isn't made to withstand water or harsh conditions. Just not tough enough. So I replaced it with a FitBit Flex. Very nice. But I was still using a watch - a Polar RS-300 watch/heart rate monitor thing. I wanted ONE band to replace them both. When the Loop was announced I jumped all over it. Haven't even about replacing with something else. It looks great, feels great on the wrist, does all the functions I want without missing a beat - it's the only band that is 'set it and forget it'. No need to put in 'sleep mode' to track your sleep, or 'activity mode' to track your workout. It's really simple and easy. Get it - you won't regret it.

The loop is cool, but needs to integrate with other applications. Fitbit allows the integration, but not Heart Rate like Polar. I have to wear both and would like only one. Polar needs to add or integrate food tracking, food diary, better dashboard or able to customize dashboard, add a scale or integration with other scales, and integration with MyFitnessPal or other applications to be a well rounded active / daily tracker. At this time I have to wear the Fitbit and login to multiple applications. This will allow me to have one stop shop for app and tracker. Once a product has all that they will get my business, but I do love Polar. So hope you win the race. At this time I would not recommend, but might change my mind and fix recommendation at a later date.

      Not Much Value

      By b52bgz

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

I've been using the H7, Beat, and Flow app for nearly a year. This combination of Polar products works very well for tracking all manner of training sessions, workouts, and other specific activities. The Flow app, with the accurate input of the H7, provides excellent guidance and performance analysis. I had a desire to add a fitness band for 24/7 activity monitoring and feedback. The Polar Loop seemed to be the logical choice as it integrates with both the H7 and the Flow app. Or so I thought. In fact, if you use H7, Loop, Flow combination for tracking, say, a hike, you will lose the GPS info that you normally get with the H7, Beat, Flow combo. Further and rather oddly, if you use your H7 Beat Flow arrangement for a training session the data goes into Flow and the Flow app will show it as a training session however that activity will not show in your daily activity tracking from your Loop. The best example I can give is weight training. Flow will track that activity with your H7 heart rate monitor but because you are not moving/walking, the Loop thinks you have done nothing. In other words, you can kill yourself with an activity and the Loop/Flow app will show you haven't done anything. You would think all of these Polar products would work seamlessly. Not the case. I'm sorely disappointed with the Loop and I have gone back to just the H7 Beat and Flow. The Loop is just and expensive digital watch for me. Maybe if I hadn't worked with the other products before purchasing the Loop I'd have felt differently. Finally, a huge complaint with Flow, Beat, and the Loop is the lack of documentation. There is very little help to actually use any of these products. Yes, there are FAQ's and videos to get you going but they really only do that - get you going. They don't show you how to really use any of these products.

      It Has Changed My Workouts!!

      By HPink

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

warning: this might be totally uninteresting to most of you, but it's something to consider. Am a newish owner of a Polar Loop heart rate monitor and absolutely love it. It's accurate and I can set the level activity my lifestyle is so it's not giving me suggestions for someone opposite of my level of activity. I wear the Loop every day and use with with a heart rate monitor chest strap when I am actually working out. Today I left my strap at home and taught a bootcamp class without it. While my Loop still accurately detected movement and activity, it was completely wrong without the chest strap. Yesterday (with the strap) it read that my heart rate was about a 140 average, I burned 754 calories in class, and beat my daily activity goal by 47%. Today (without the strap) it says I haven't even completed a full day of average activity. I cannot stress how much I recommend getting a heart rate monitor AND chest monitor with it. You think you may burn 700 calories because an instructor or Fitbit says so, but you truly don't know until you have something reading your heart rate for a more accurate rate. I know that these aren't 100% accurate, but having one has changed my work outs and my students love that I can give them an accurate read. That being said, I HIGHLY recommend the Polar Loop. It has an awesome app syncs with it and you can see how much activity you are doing throughout the day and when attached to your chest strap, it reads your heart rate on your Loop and records the stats on the app. It's held me accountable for when I think I am pushing myself. It tells you an estimate of your steps and calorie burn as well as suggestions for how to achieve your set daily goal. The app can tell you how well you've slept, but I don't really care about that, ha!

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

I love that the wristband can be used for swimming, but too bad you can't sync it with the heart rate monitor. Also, I was disappointed to find out that both Fitbit and Jawbone can be synced with the Weight Watchers App and this one can't. It would be nice if Polar works out a deal with them to be included, but overall a great product.

      Beware of Water

      By Chuck

      from Suwanee, GA

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

Overall I'm pleased with this unit and it works for the most part as advertised. What attracted me initially to this product was the support for swimming, which is my main form of activity. Unfortunately this unit senses water as if you touched the button to bring up the display. For occasional wetness that probably wouldn't hurt, but in swimming its like every stroke activates the display (which drains the battery much faster than normal). It seems it wouldn't be that difficult to program the unit to ignore multiple regular button pushes (after 5 or 6 strokes) and remain off until sensing a period of no button activations (30-60 seconds). That may even be a way to determine swimming activity as opposed to walking (one stroke = 1 step?) Supposedly it will not synch data with every button push (15 minute max frequency?). I also found it necessary to turn off bluetooth on my phone to prevent synching too frequently and draining the charge. With that modification the unit seems quite usable and I just need to charge it once a day.

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

I have bought 2 ppolar bands and two polar heart rate monitors.I bought the pullover loop because it's one of the few that is truly waterproof that being said I also got the heart rate monitor so that I could track my heart rate. The first one I got was verytroublesome to connect the loop to the heart rate monitor so it proved to be inconsistent. Then it stopped working altogether with the heart rate monitor. So I bought another polar Loop band to see if it would work with the heart rate monitor. When that failed I bought another polar heart rate monitor but again I could not get the polar Loop band to hook up the new heart rate monitor at all. I love the design of the polar Loop I think it's fit and it's look is far superior to any others I do wish there was a way to charge it without hooking it up to a computer and I wish that I could get it to hook up to a heart rate monitor her but Of course I'm not going to spend anymore money trying to accomplish that. I think it would be nice if polar would send me another polar loop to see if I can get it to connect with the latest expenditurethat I am vested in which was the polar Loop heart rate monitor perhaps somebody will respond to this and give me some customer service. If you're looking for justand activity monitor without a heart rate monitor then I would definitely go with the polar Loop but if you want to do both you might want to look elsewhere I'll update this if I get more satisfaction.

I have and other thousands of your custumers facing same problem as I am right now. I am buying fitbit soon. As a hardware I love it but app snyncing problem will make consumer to go with other brands...

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

I lost my Polar-loop watch for 2 months, then I found it lying in my Hot tub 2 months later. I pushed the bottom on the watch and found out there was 22% battery left. Amazing! I recommend this protect for two reasons: 1.Very very very water resistance and strongly built. 2. It is very practical idea to only have to were the Polar Loop and the heart monitor when you are on playing sports. You don't have to run with telephone to get data from your heart monitor. 3. It is user friendly. Only one bottom.

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

I've had my Polar Loop for about 2 months now and still look at it multiple times a day to check calories and steps, which is much better than having to sync to see data. When I work out, I pair it with the HRM and that is the main reason I chose the Loop over other fitness trackers. Yea, getting the band right can be annoying, but I did it in 5 minutes not using the measuring guide, so it's not that hard. The only downside for me is that I have to charge it every 2 days.

Don't buy if you're in the military and deploy

      By NavyGuy35

from San Diego, CA, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

This product only stores 12 days worth of activity. After that, it simply says memory full. So…when I get underway for 3 weeks to go to Hawaii from San DIego, I can only use it for the first 12 days! How stupid of a problem is that to have. Being underway in the Navy for me is hard enough to find time to workout. Losing my tracker after day 12 makes it even worse. I did find the design to be very comfortable, sleek and eye catching. The waterproof feature is also great, however the faults above make this product unsuitable for anyone in the military that will be away from their home internet connection for more than 12 days.

      By Brownhill

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

I'm totally not satisfied with the fact that I have to trim with scissors, so that I'm unable to lend it to my girlfriend, and I'm unable to sell it. A bit too smart! :-( It works fine with my Android (but please add an instruction to activate bluetooth when it's not, I guarantee that I'm not the only one wondering why nothing happens once I press the loop button as instructed). I'm SO missing to be able to get the steps/cals for a specific part of my day - a workout. Battery performance is far from impressive, and so is the charging time (I sleep with it, as sleep indication is an important part).

I have been using it for several months now, and the only thing I miss about the Fitbit is it's capability to interface with nearly anything! Pretty please Polar, at least give us the ability to interface with My Fitness Pal!

      Tons of potential

      By Danbo

      from Fontana, CA, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

The Good: H7 pairs excellent with the Loop. Comfortable all day wear band that's secure. I play indoor soccer with mine paired to my H7 without any problems. Perfect sizing for anyone that should be allowed to use scissors. Waterproof. Looks great. Has "watch" feature. Simple to use. . . automatic sleep/wake etc. . . The Bad: Battery is really only good for about 2-3 days if you use mobile sync or H7 (not a deal breaker, but misleading). If you're red/green deficient like a lot of men, you won't be able to see the red l.e.d.s on the smoke black one when you're outside. I recommend the purple or blue one (bummer cause they don't look as nice IMO). The Loop is very inconsistent about syncing to my Galaxy S4. The first week I had the Loop it seemed to sync flawlessly. Now, it's syncing about half the time. Literally. I, like the others, have tried everything recommended (uninstall, re-install, airplane mode on and off, etc. . .) to no avail. Big time bummer. Hence the 3 star rating. Fix this and it's a 5 star device. What's the point of a fitness tracker that doesn't afford you the ability to see what it's tracked?! The Loop has the info in it. When you scroll through, it's all there, it just doesn't sync to mobile like it should. Plugging the USB into the computer retrieves most of it, but that's not exactly what was sold here. Please work on this guys.

Comments about Polar Loop Activity Tracker - 1 Loop:

I bought this tracker almost a year ago after looking at several other trackers on the market. It's capability to be used with a chest heart rate monitor really sets it apart from other trackers. The accuracy of the chest HRM is also better than other wrist mounted trackers with built-in HRM ability that are available today. The only features that would be nice to have would be vibration for notifications and some method of checking the battery level without plugging it in but these are small potatoes. If you want a tracker that will give you an extra edge for exercising and sports, this is your tracker!

This product has worked great. I received it in November 2013 when it first came out and have warn it about 90% of the time since then. It's survived more than 12 months of almost continuous use and is still working like new. I have had ony 1 minor issue during one of the upgrades and that's it, clear sailing otherwise. The enhancements over the past year have been definite improvements with the tracking software. I'm an Iphone user, and I have also paired the device with a heart rate monitor. I find that's one of the best features - you get a more accurate calorie burn and effort report.

I am a professional athlete - beach volleyball - and cross train year round with Tennis, Snowboarding, and gym workouts. It is very important to track each of my training sessions so I can analyze my workout and make sure I am on track for each part of my season. I have tried other heart rate monitors and have been disappointed in the longevity and support. The Loop is stylish, doesn't dig into my wrist when I'm working out or playing sports and it's waterproof! I had no problems fitting the bracelet to my wrist, just take your time and do it right. It synced to the H7 heartstrap and to my iPhone 6 the very 1st time. The app and desktop programs are easy to use and it looks like Polar keeps adding functionality to their products. I like it and would highly recommend it to anyone from a stay at home mom to a professional athlete.

Got the Loop a week ago and got the H7 heart monitor. I've only been able to sync twice with my iPhone 5s. I was really interested in the sleep data, but since it won't sync, it shows nothing in the window for night's sleep. The Polar Flow app is utterly useless as it has incomplete data due to no sync. I am ready to go "gadgetless", that is, a regular heart monitor and a stopwatch - tried and true technology.

They tend to "need" more options than the basic user like myself who is overweight and needs to do some serious walking so I can back to being "capable" of some more strenuous cardio workouts. At that point, I look forward to adding the heart monitor Polar offers for this device. I just purchased the Loop three days ago after loosing my second Fitbit due to a terrible band locking system. I currently try to walk in excess of 20,000 steps peer day. I say this to emphasize my fitness tracker is a big deal to me. My primary reasonI was drawn to the Loop was the locking style band. Now that I have had time to introduce myself to the device, website and FlowSync, I have to tell you, this thing BLOWS there Fitbit away! For one, it actually looks like something you can wear to work (I'm a Captain for a major airline) without looking like your forcing a rubber band into your attire to look like your a fitness pro. I admit I was a bit overwhelmed at first, adjusting to the way things work with the loop, but the learning curve was shallow and quick. I love the fact that it can replace my wristwatch if I so desire, and also I can keep it on steps category so I just push the sensor once and instantly I see my daily steps. Soon I will dive into the options this device and company offer to customize my loop a bit more, I'm sure this will take my enthusiasm level up another notch! The one drawback I have found (I REALLY hope Polar fixes) is the lack of being able to customize my goal(s). From what I can tell, you only have three pre-set options. The website and IPhone app work great, but I really want to be able to set my own daily goals, i.e., steps taken, calories burned, etc. I would have given 5 Stars for sure, had it had this option. I sincerely hope Polar can make this addition in the future! Overall, GREAT device!!!

I bought this about a month ago, and overall, so far, so good. I was also able to get it to fit my wrist fine, but....I honestly do not understand WHY they couldn't just have a buckle on the strap like a watch, or even a Velcro strap. I'm not sure about other people, but my wrist size fluctuates a bit with the temperatures, etc. I've had no problem syncing it or keeping it charged. The activity and sleep information I get daily is easily understood and user friendly. My ONLY "con" with this product is that it doesn't track bicycle riding as an "activity"...which is a bummer for me as that is one of my "mainstays." It shows no more activity cycling than sitting on my butt reading or watching TV! But otherwise it's a decent product.

      Happy with the Loop...

Very satisfied with the loop. Buy the H7 with it, because it's much more valuable if your using it for activities other then just walking or running. If your biking, doing circuit weight training or other functional training, the H7 heart rate monitor is a must so you can get "credit" on the activity tracker. Biking, functional training, circuit training all elevate the heart rate. Without the H.R. Monitor the "steps" tracker is not an accurate representation of workout intensity for those non-walking/running workouts. I use the loop as a watch as well. If the FT models have a watch on them, I'll probably upgrade to one since there's more data displayed. I'd definitely buy again. Customer service is great as well if you need assistance.

From day one, I have not been able to get this loop to function properly. I pair it with the H7, and most of my workouts do not fully (or at all) register with the loop. I've called customer service at least 1/2 dozen times. We've reset the loop, replaced the H7, and now after months of unhappy use, I have to return the loop to see about having it serviced. I purchased these Polar products because I thought they were a step up from the Jawbone UpBand and Fitbit. But don't waste your money like I did. Stick with one that easily syncs.

      I am still in love

I wanted to make sure to give my polar loop the chance to prove how awesome it was before writing a review. I have now owned my polar loop 8 months and it is still kicking butt! I believe that people who have had problems really just don't understand simple tasks. I do have an iPhone 5 and syncing the loop to not only my computer BUT also my phone was very simple and maybe took a whole 2 minutes to do. As far as battery life I do 2 options, 1 put it on the charger for 15 minutes while I shower, I do not need to know how long I stood in the shower for my day to feel accomplished. Option 2: I charge it while getting my data onto my laptop. Knowing that I am sitting in bed while going over my week is also not going to kill my data input. As far as battery life, I can go about 4 days without charging this. NOW since I do go this long, I am not constantly looking at how many step Ive taken or how many calories Ive burned. I check them a few times a day, more on my less active days to make sure that I at least hit my goal for the day. It syncs to my phone maybe a couple times a day, more if I do it myself so I can check my data. I have gone about 3 weeks without syncing to my computer and it has given me a memory full alert. I think 21 days of activity equals a great memory. I want to give this polar loop to my friend so she can start getting active and losing weight and get the new M_ something because it looks fun, but I would totally recommend the polar loop to everyone!! Looking to get fit, this helps!!

Is it too big or bulky? Do you actually sleep with it on.
      Jo K on Oct 15, 2014
Best Answer: My Polar Loop is the about the same size as any bracelet accessory (which will mean nothing to you if you are a guy). I often forget I'm wearing it so I wouldn't say that it's too bulky. I wear it to sleep and it has not caused any discomfort. I even shower with it on since it's water resistant. I've been completely happy with my Polar Loop, even though the set up was a little trying on my patience as my wrist are really small and I had to size, cut, resize, cut again, repeat, repeat, and repeat about four times before I got it down to the right size.
