I really like this protein powder. I've used plant-based protein powders in the past, but it was really chalky in everything I used it in. This whey protein mixes smoothly, no clumps and doesn't have the chalky texture. The vanilla flavor is good even when I use it in smoothies with lots of veggies such as kale. I wish it was available in a larger size as the serving size (scoop) is large and I use this every day. I run out of it really quickly.

I bought this product because my access to SFH and Progenex (both proteins from grass-fed cows) was hindered. The two aforementioned companies have spoiled me, I guess, but the Reservage's taste, cost-per-serving, nutritional profile, number of servings and ability to mix were all sub-par compared to what I'm used to. Maybe Reservage isn't designed to be a post-workout protein, so I'm not the correct clientele, but I wouldn't recommend this product.

Comments about Reserveage Organics Grass Fed Whey Protein - 12.7 Ounces Powder:

This is a great tasting whey, but for the price it almost makes me want to look elsewhere. The scoop inside is HUGE and only 12 servings I think it said! so your looking at almost $2 per serving which is on the high side! but if reservage is going to charge this much they need to put more info out there like where the whey comes from, how much BCAA's etc. my advice is if you have extra money def try this out if not look elsewhere for protein! Somebody said it doesn't mix well in another review, I put it in my blender with other goodies and it mixes just fine!

Best Answer: Sorry to say that I myself do not care for this Whey Protein powder just because it contains, what I consider, a artificial sweetener - STEVIA. I can actually taste ANY artificial sweetener in protein powders or otherwise. It seems that any and all WHEY protein powders that I have tried or researched always contained some artificial sweetener. I don't know why this is. I gave this to my brother wh.o liked it

A Vitamin Shoppe customer on Mar 13, 2014
Best Answer: I love this protein, it's very high quality and the best protein I've ever tasted and keeps my sugar stable. Having one scoup mixed in yogurt if I'm running late and have no time to prepare a meal, is enough not to have to worry about my sugar going low at night due to the fact that I have type I diabetes.

                    I hope this helps.

I am a 50 year old woman interested in starting Whey shakes in the a.m. I was told that I should try a product that is 100% Whey Isolate. How does this product compare?
                    /
                    Marla S on Jan 4, 2015
Best Answer: This product is whey protein Concentrate, not Isolate. However, the choice between the two is not a simple matter. I can't post a links here, but here but I urge you to do a google search of this article:

Whey Concentrate vs. Isolate: What’s The Difference?
                    by Charlie Seltzer, MD

                    ___________
As whey concentrate is further processed and purified into whey protein isolate,3 these 3-d structures can degraded and lose their biologic activity. You should note, however, that the amino acid sequences do not change when protein is denatured, and whether a protein is denatured during processing does not affect its muscle-building qualities. All large proteins are broken down during digestion into smaller protein chains and individual amino acids (denatured), and whether this process occurs in the gut or in the manufacturing plant is irrelevant to the muscle fibers getting these proteins.

However, since denaturing can affect the biologic activity of certain peptides, whey concentrate has a theoretical health advantage over isolate. That being said, depending on the process used, whey isolate may still have significant amounts of bioactive peptides. Ion-exchange is a purification process that, while producing the highest concentration of protein, essentially eliminates all bioactive compounds. Micro-filtration techniques, such as Cross Flow Micro filtration, are a more expensive procedure but yield a whey isolate with more intact bioactive peptides. Hydrolyzed whey isolate is whey isolate that has been further broken down, yielding small peptides that are rapidly absorbed into the blood stream. Again, though, this extra processing comes at the cost of destruction of health promoting substances.
                    ______________

If you're planning to add whey protein just to supplement your nutritive needs. I would recommend this product. If you want to build muscle fast (for bodybuilding purposes) and need to load on protein as quickly as possible, that is when you would need isolate.
