Comments about Vitamin Shoppe Rhodiola Rosea (500 MG) - 30 Capsules:

This herb is incredible if you are an active person and exercise regularly. Your endurance will increase, muscles recover much faster. If you have anxiety issues, or are inactive you will most likely not benefit from this herb. I have personally taken 2 grams at once and I felt great, no negative side effects at all. There is no toxicity for this herb. Taking this herb can give you a great jump start if you decide to start exercising regularly.

Comments about Vitamin Shoppe Rhodiola Rosea (500 MG) - 30 Capsules:

Those of you running this company should be a lot more careful of what you're recommending here. Two capsules? That would be 1,000 mg -- almost three times the recommended outside limit for a dose of this product.

I am 5' tall 135lbs though I do have HUGE stress issues and am under the care of a dr, I have taken 3500 per day (doctor ok'd) with no more issues than I wanted a nap.

I think you are supposed to comment on the effectiveness of the product, not issues with the dosage.

>> A Vitamin Shoppe Customer commented on this review on 2011-05-06
the dosage on the bottle is 1 capsule NOT 3!

Ryan H: Rhodiola is a plant and does not contain caffeine. But while it is generally recognized as safe, if you are sensitive to caffeine, you may want to start with a small dose or cut back on caffeine.

I have had a great experience supplementing with Rhodiola and I have been consuming caffeine and/or diet pills on many occasions, with no ill side effects.

If you have good self-control and self-monitoring abilities it is my opinion that adding in Rhodiola supplements is not likely to cause adverse reactions. Just remember to be aware of yourself and how you feel as you start a new supplement. And know that you may need to adjust the dosage accordingly (which is extremely easy with capsules!)

Teresa G: I have taken this product for several years and like it. I don't know what kind of diet pills you are taking, so I wouldn't want to say how the two mix. This product doesn't make you jittery at all. I first read about it in one of Suzanne Somers books so you might find more about it there. Jan 4, 2013
