Butterbur is intended to provide nutritive support for normal smooth muscle tissue function. The german commission E Monograph recognizes Butterbur. Solaray brand Butterbur is certified free of pyrrolizidine alkaloids.

Directions

Use only as directed. Take 1 VegCap twice daily with a meal or glass of water. Store in a cool, dry place.

Great !!!!
Started taking the butterbur root extract for my severe migraines, and its working GREAT, i havent had not 1 since i started taking it almost 3wks ago, and i used to have at least 2 migraines a wk. Wish id known about this years ago..

Excellent for your health
I bought this product to help out with my sinuses. I have used this product before; and I know that it is an excellent product. I am super thankful that I found a product like this. Excellent for migraines!! Fibromyalgia warrior
I have been fighting migraines for months until I found natural supplements/vitamins & herbs. This being one of them. This has worked reduce my migraines a great deal. No medication worked for my head until I tried this along with (magnesium citrate complex, tumeric & ginger capsule, Feverfew and vitamin b6). It took a good 3-4 weeks to work but once it did I felt back to being me!

Worked for our daughter
Used this to treat my 10 yr. old's migraines which were every day for 2 weeks. Tried one pill at night but ended up needing 1 1/2 to get through a day but now she is migraine free. We are going to take her off for a period due to it not being recommended for more than 12 weeks at a time but so far it's been a lifesaver for her. It has caused some tummy aches but the side affect was better than the horrible daily pain she was in. Also started taking an Omega 3 and multivitamins as well.

So how what extracting process do u use & does your product contain high levels of pyrrolizidine??? The roots of the perennial shrub generally contain high levels of pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which can damage the liver, so herbalists recommend looking for butterbur products that specify no pyrrolizidines, or ones that use a CO2 extracting process, which limits the amount of pyrrolizidine alkaloids

Best Answer:  No. No stomach upset at all. I started with 50 mg and my migraines were significantly less pronounced ... when the first two bottles were gone, I increased to 75 mg and I haven't had one since. That's been about 5 months ago! I've suffered 36 hour migraines for 26 years! This is such a relief!!!

Best Answer:  Butterbur has been very helpful for our seasonal allergies, including sinus symptoms. We take stinging nettle for seasonal allergies and add butterbur when we need more relief.

Best Answer:  I do not have a good answer for your question, but I would like to thank you. I did not know there was a limit. I take Butterbur for alleries. I have taken it everyday for years. Guess I need more info too.

Best Answer:  Not 100% sure but most likely yes. I used this product for a good four or five years without negative side effects and it did help my migraines. I showed my neurologist this one, and he works with the FAA, so as a dr. he told me it was probably fine, but that the butterbur by Petadolex, also at the Vitamin Shoppe, was a safer bet because that meets FAA standards and PA free, so I use that one now.
