Comments about Solgar Cinnamon Alpha Lipoic Acid - 60 Tablets:

I am a Type 2 Diabetic with levels under control so Cinnamon is a favorite for me. I was purchasing Alpha Lipoic Acid tabs separately until I found this Solgar product. It gives me both in a daily supplement at a reasonable price.

Comments about Solgar Cinnamon Alpha Lipoic Acid - 60 Tablets:

As the owner of an alternative medicine and healthy living webiste,I proudly promote the Vitamin Shoppe, based primarily on their high-quality product line, customer support and fast shipment of their products.

Their cinnamon alpha lipoic supplements are unsurpassed in quality and work extremely well in keeping blood sugar levels at bay. My glucose level was borderline-high and since I started taking this supplement, my glucose level has dropped significantly - enough to put my blood sugar at a range which is well with normal range.

My wife has Type-2 diabetes, and a recent lab test showed that her glucose level has dropped significantly as well.

Naturally, everyone reacts differently to supplements, but the stellar thing about herbal supplements is that there are no adverse side-effects and can work in harmony with virtually any prescription medication.

My best advice is that if you have blood sugar concerns, cinnamon alpha lipoic acid should be a viable consideration in helping to manage your glucose level. Always follow the (simple) directions on the bottle and look for the results to kick-in within a couple of weeks or so, after it's had a chance to really get into your system. It's a wise investment in your health and the Vitamin Shoppe has very competitive pricing.

My husband's sugar levels dropped dramatically after he added this to his regular prescription, so the Dr was able to lower his dosage. He feels great and loves the taste.

Has it decreased your blood glucose ?
A Vitamin Shoppe customer on Jul 31, 2014
Best Answer: My husband and I both have been taking this for several years and honestly, I have not really seen a measurable difference in our A1C or fasting blood sugars, such as a noticeable difference in our daily counts. We do continue to take this however, for two reasons. First is that I have read a lot of articles from several sources that support the usefulness of both Cinnamon and ALA in blood sugar regulation along with the fact that there is antioxidant and anti-inflamatory usefulness. Second, even though my husband and I have been pre-diabetic/diabetic for several years, our A1C levels have been very stable in a good range. So my suspicion is that this supplement may be helping to keep diabetes from getting out of control. Hope this helps. I can only say research, research, research.

Have you had a good experince wth the product has it done what you expected. Help with blood sugar?
A Vitamin Shoppe customer on May 18, 2014
Best Answer: My husband has an inherited form of diabetes. Not type 1, not type 2. Since starting this product, he often has morning readings in the 80's. He attributes this to the chromium. He also exercises and eats a low carb diet. He could not get his morning readings this low until he started the chromium. He also takes cinnamon which is supposed to help with blood sugar levels.
