Product Label

A Low Glycemic Organic Sweetener
Wholesome sweetener's organic raw agave is a natural sweetener extracted from the heart of the agave plant. It is produced at a low temperature (less than 118 F) and has a full sweet flavor with subtle molasses tones. Agave is a low glycemic index (GI) sweetener, so it is slowly absorbed into the body preventing spikes in blood sugar. It is 25% sweeter than sugar, so you need less. A perfect multipurpose sweetener, use wherever you would use table sugar.

Comments about Wholesomes Sweetners Organic Blue Agave Raw - 11.75 Ounces Liquid:

DARK Syrup fabulous. Used one teaspoon of Agave to two teaspoons of white sugar. LIGHT syrup BAD. Bitter taste. One teaspoon plus one white sugar to kill the bitter taste. Ensure you are buying the dark syrup otherwise save your money.

Comments about Wholesomes Sweetners Organic Blue Agave Raw - 11.75 Ounces Liquid:

I love this! I read about this when I was looking for substitutes for sugar and splenda. I recently was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and high levels of LDL for my cholesterol. They suggested I immediately change my diet. I love coffee and so the question was what to do about the sweetener. I found out about Agave Nectar on a website about the benefits of apple cider vinegar and mixing it with a little agave nectar to substitute for the sugar. I found it at Rainbow Foods in the whole foods section and it is wonderful! I love the taste, it's fabulous and I plan to never return to sugar! I have my husband hooked on it now too! LOL
