I was hesitant to buy this, as comments were mixed for the taste of this vanilla protein.

For me, it tastes like bread dough with a vanilla aftertaste. I'm sure it would taste great blended with peanut butter, or maybe strawberries and bananas... But mixed with just non-fat milk, it was pretty rough.

I've had a lot of different protein powders over the years, the last few was a big fan of ON Gold, but decided to give this one a try - great taste! One of the best tasting vanilla proteins out there. I take it with milk. Almost the same ingredients as ON, but 25% less expensive. Stacked with Compound 20 and Jack3d - gained almost 10Lbs in a month, and i'm not a small guy: 6.0 and 218Lbs, been working out for about 15 years.

I mix my protein in milk and when im really cutting carbs ill mix it in water. It tastes well and all, and in the end protein is protein. But this protein doesn't mix well AT ALL. I mixed it with water and almost gagged and i mix it with milk and its still very very very clumpy. I say pay the extra $5 for the 100% gold standard.

I bought this product because of a special that they were running and have to says it was not worth it. Taste was horrible. Unless you like the taste of artificial sweetner do not buy this product. Can't wait until i finish it so I can buy different product.

I am a student-athlete. My weight in July was about 105, when i checked my weight today i was about 139. Whey Tech has 17 grams of protein. The shake taste good when you use milk. DO NOT USE WATER. The first thing i do in the morning is add two scopes of the powder into my Body-tech bottle it comes in handy because, it has a ball inside that breaks up the clumps. MOST importantly do drink whey tech just to drink it, because you will get fat. Also ask the vitamin shoppe clerk if this product is right for you, and if you have a trainer ask what would be the best workouts based on your needs. I love this product, i think it works well.

This product is great - I've been using WheyTech for as long as I can remember. Mixes very well..I rarely get any clumps. The vanilla mixed with water doesn't taste too good so I mix it with gatorade for my post-workout drink. Can't complain about the price...especially when they have a bogo sale going on. Good product. Whey is whey as long as it's isolate and not concentrate (see; cvs/walmart brands). Cheap and mixes very easily. Tastes fine in water and great in milk. I prefer chocolate flavored foods over vanilla, except for this instance. Add a little chocolate syrup post workout and drink with milk for an ideal post workout shake if you can't afford straight dextrose powder.

Whey Tech Vanilla is a great product for protein shakes. Blend with some fruit and ice and you have a cost effective source of protein and antioxidants. I've tried the Pro24 and it has a stronger aftertaste. As with all protein drinks, you have to mix them thoroughly. Chocolate is great too. I always come back to VS Whey Tech after trying more expensive brands.

Since I don't really like the taste very much I try to only use this as a post workout drink. I had never tried Whey Tech before so I bought both this and the chocolate flavor. Overall I found the chocolate flavor to have a much better taste. If you really want a good tasting Vanilla I would recommend getting the Whey Tech Pro 24 Vanilla flavor instead.
