Boxing at a high intensity for a half hour can burn upwards of 500 or more calories, Aylesworth says. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Boxing is also super-effective at toning and tightening: \u201cBy improving the overall balance in the body, and using and<\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u00a0confusing\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s4\">all your muscles, [boxing can give you that] lean look throughout your entire physique.\u201d (<\/span><span class=\"s3\">Muscle confusion occurs when you constantly switch up your moves, which stimulates the muscles.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">In fact, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4429464\/\"><span class=\"s2\"><i>BMC Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation,<\/i><\/span><\/a> a study in which people boxed for fitness versus performing other exercise activities, saw significantly improved body fat percentage, as well as lower blood pressure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>2.
