Here\u2019s the lowdown on the latest study\u2014and what its results mean for your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitaminshoppe.com\/c\/brain-memory-essentials\/N-cp9a02\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">brain health<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Research<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We know regular exercise benefits our health in many ways\u2014and recent research confirms its positive effect on our brains.<\/p>\n<p>In January, a new study published in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurekalert.org\/pub_releases\/2019-01\/aaon-mmi011119.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Neurology<\/em><\/a> found that moving throughout the day can improve your cognitive health and memory retention.<\/p>\n<p>For the study, researchers measured the activity levels of almost 500 elderly people, almost 200 of whom had dementia. After the participants passed away, the researchers studied their brain tissue. Interestingly, they identified a number of differences between the brains of who moved daily and those who did not.<\/p>\n<p>Their conclusion? target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">David A.
