Keep the expert input on these popular add-ins in mind.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>1. Lemon Water<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Should you squeeze a lemon in your water? This H2O hack mostly gets a green light, especially if the extra flavor encourages you to drink more water. Rice Water\u00a0<\/b><b><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rice water is exactly what it sounds like: the water that\u2019s left over after you boil rice. But why exactly would you want to drink this starchy substance? As it turns out, rice water could potentially help relieve constipation\u2014and even come in handy during a case of the runs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rice water may have a small amount of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitaminshoppe.com\/c\/digestion\/fiber\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fiber<\/a> content, which could help normalize bowel movements and help you ward off constipation, says dietitian Wendy Lord, R.D., a consultant for<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sensibledigs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Sensible Digs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Chlorophyll Water<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re on TikTok, you\u2019ve probably seen some influencer or another sipping on impossibly green <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitaminshoppe.com\/blog\/benefits-of-chlorophyll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chlorophyll<\/a> water\u2014and making all sorts of claims about what it\u2019s done for their health.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While many of the claims you see on social media may be exaggerations, chlorophyll does offer some legitimate perks, thanks, in part, to its antioxidant properties, according to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/health.clevelandclinic.org\/are-there-health-benefits-to-using-liquid-chlorophyll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cleveland Clinic<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. A milky substance secreted by the base of lettuce leaves at the stem, lactucarium has a reputation for its sedative and pain-killing properties, Lord says.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cUnfortunately, scientific research has only been able to establish a connection between lettuce and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8234172\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sleep quality in mice<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, not in humans,\u201d Lord says. \u201cBut lettuce has been used for centuries, from as far back as the Roman era, for its sleep-promoting qualities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not into the idea of water that tastes like salad?
