I wanted this to work so bad for my son's ADHD! It only caused his stomach to ache. He went through the whole bottle. It was a complete waste of money & time.

It works great with helping the children calm down while in school. I've got one grandson that has been kicked out of two schools. Hes so active and hard to handle unless he takes Attentive Child. So far he's pretty good in school. They give him one at lunch and it seems to get him threw the day with out getting in trouble. The only thing is the children don't care for the taste.

My youngest son was acting out at school and very emotional. He did not test for ADD or ADHD and I did not want to put him on any meds. I did some research and he takes two attentive child in the morning with a multi vitamin with D3. He has improved a great deal. He ask for his vitamins and his teacher and principal wanted to know what I was giving him so they could tell others. He is happy and so am I.

Comments about Source Naturals Attentive Child - 60 Wafers:

I absolutely LOVE Attentive Child for my 5 year old son with Asperger's. His therapists could tell when we weren't giving him Attentive Child and tell us to put him back on it. Only 2 downsides for our family is that the wafers are a bit tart so sometimes my son refuses to eat them (I have talked to others that said the same thing) and there is soy in this product so I cannot give it to my son with a soy allergy. Otherwise I would rate it a 5 - absolutely fabulous product & we will be using it for many years to come! A great alternative to prescription meds!

I just bought this for my six year old daughter. She was already getting good grades but her teacher was consistently sending home notes that she was rushing and sloppy in her work. After one week of taking these her teacher sent home praises on her school work. I noticed she was way more focused and less distracted when doing her daily activities. I would recommend these. There were no complaints of tummy ache or headache as the previous customer rating. However, they are rather large and they have to chew two of them per day. I usually split them. One with breakfast and one at dinner. Tastes like sweet tarts.

Over the past 3 years we have used several supplements, and have tried 2 different prescription medications . This supplement had the side effects of Ritalin without the benefits. My son complained of headache, stomach pain, nausea, and that "his brain wasn't working," to put it in his words, each time we used it. Maybe different kids react differently to the ingredients in this, hence some positive reviews for this product. It definitely was not good for us.

I have used this supplement for about a year now for my ADHD seven yr. old son and it has helped him tremendously. He enjoys the taste and when I forget to give it to him over a long period of time his ADHD symptons get worse.

Reviews sounded positive. Price was reasonable to try it. It was on sale. I really want to use methods other than meds to help my daughter focus in school.

Can you take as needed? or does it take a few days to get into your system and you need to take daily?
Amy T on Jan 24, 2014
Best Answer: Disclaimer: I tried it to help her control her extreme tantrums over the tiniest frustrations, not so much to help her concentrate. It is meant to be taken daily, not a quick fix. After 30 days I'm not sure it made much difference for our purposes, so I gave up. This was when my child was barely 4. A year later, there is marked improvement in her ability to calm herself but none of the supplements helped much.. It was mainly tons of patience and walking her through the almost daily meltdowns. I will say following a diet free of artificial additives and most gluten showed some change. Anyway, the product is meant to work over time, not as needed.

what is the difference between these two products besides that ones a wafer & one is a soft gel? Is one better than the other or are they equally as effective?

Best Answer: Not sure, but I would guess that the wafers are quicker to be absorbed into a child's system. That's a guess but I've been told that pills chewed are absorbed quicker through the digestive system. Hope that helps.
