I used these vitamins at the end of my last pregnancy and definitely had hip pain, but didn't think twice about it since it seemed normal that the hips move and ache. With my second pregnancy and being 40 years old, I ordered these again, wanting to be as healthy as possible and almost immediately the hip pain started again. As the other women have commented, it's excruciating joint pain. (I also noted the dry mouth, but that doesn't bother me since I need to be drinking more.) I stopped taking them and 2 days later didn't have pain. I'm taking another brand now and taking one of these a week, just to use them up and not waste them.

I would choose nothing else besides Rainbow Light's Just Once Prenatal One. I have been taking it continuously for over 4 years now, through 2 pregnancies, 2 sets of breastfeeding, and preparing for a new pregnancy. I was told of this prenate during my second pregnancy. My first, I was given scripts for prenates through pharmo companies. After looking them up, I was saddened by how generic and poor quality they were. I am extremely willing to pay more $ for a whole foods, greater bioavailable prenate to help protect the health of myself and my babies. I highly, highly, highly recommend spending the money on this prenate and using it faithfully!

I am taking this vitamin for hair and nail growth. I have taken many supplements over the years and have never experienced joint pain like this from any supplement. Returning this product today.

This vitamin does not make me burp it up, tho like all vitamins I take it 15 minutes after lunch to be on the safe side. I also had no morning sickness. Though this vitamin looks kind of large, it's not larger than the average vitamin & it goes down smoothly. Furthermore you only need to take 1 per day! Worth every penny.

Finally found this prenatal with my 4th pregnancy. First pregnancy that I experienced no, I repeat, no morning sickness - I absolutely believe it is due to this vitamin. I have changed nothing else. I have had much more energy with this pregnancy as well. Not a small feat with 3 kids that I stay home with and home school! I took a good prenatal with the others, but this one definitely is the best I've found! I have taken this more consistently than the others as well, because there is only 1 to take each day.

I bought this based off of other recommendations and the Rainbow Light name (being all natural and seemingly good). I did not take this when I was pregnant but ran out of my prescription vitamins and did not want to chase down a refill so ordered these instead while I was nursing my infant son. I took these for about two months and was actually about to order more from this website when I read one of the other reviewers talking about joint pain all over. I had experienced the same thing but did not realize that it was my vitamin doing it to me! I immediately stopped taking it and within two days I was back to normal. I honestly thought that maybe it was just due to getting older but I'm still fairly young (33) so I should not be having the kind of joint aches and pains all over (hands, arms, knees, ankles, shins, feet, etc.). It does have a lot more vitamin than a person needs, especially the vitamins that your body does not dispose of if overdosed. I would not take this product again and would caution others to make an informed decision before trying it. There are a lot of other decent vitamins out there.

Rainbow Light came so highly recommended by all the reviews online as well as the Vitamin Shoppe Store employee that it was easy to have very high hopes for this vitamin. I was looking for an all-natural vitamin to start taking before my husband and I started trying to conceive. I have never had any trouble with any of the supplements I have taken before.

I think iodide from the kelp is causing the unquenchable thirst. I know this because I took plain kelp in the same dosage for about a month and became severely dehydrated no matter how much water I drank. Found out I'm allergic to iodine/iodide.

With my first pregnancy I had a hard time finding a prenatal thats wouldnt upset my stomach, and that didnt cause weight gain.

Great Vitamin - I usually have a hard time taking vitamins (hard on my stomach), but this one is fantastic. During my pregnancy with our first daughter, I had a LOT of morning sickness, but was able to keep this vitamin down when I took it at bedtime. I've recommended this one to several friends & they've all been pleased.

I have taken just about every vitamin out there and prenatals are cruel to the love handles but they really do wonders for the nails & hair. Which I can definately vouch for. These bad boys are awesome! I am always feeling at my top game. Plus no weight gain! I am sold for life, baby or no baby!
