I only bought this because I was confused. I really like Whey Tech Pro 24. I buy the 5 pound container. I've gone through probably 5 or 6 of them and it's safe to say I'm a fan. This product looks basically the same but is very different. It's heavily sweetened with Splenda and has a smaller scoop (17 grams vs. 24). I have been trying to get use to it for the past week but I just can't do it. I almost threw up this morning. That hasn't happened to me since I first started using whey about 10 years ago. Bottom line: Don't use this product. Instead use this:

I bought this whey to save some money. I mixed 1.5 scoops in a blender bottle with water and heavy whipping cream. Blends fine and tastes fine. Not an overpowering chocolate taste, but not too dull either. Was fine for me, since I don't eat much sweets/sugar. Someone who does eat more sugar may prefer better taste. I would buy this again and have bench pressed 300 lbs before just for anyone who needs a reference point with this product.

The taste is a little funny, not too great but it's a lot cheaper than the BSN Syntha-6 I usually buy, but I'm probably going to go back to the Syntha-6

Similar to that of ON Whey, with a few discrepencies concerning fat and saturated fat amounts per protein. Other than that, great whey. For me, I saved 4 bucks, paid 35 for it versus 48-49 for a 5 pound tub of ON Whey. Im getting about 7 dollars a pound of quality whey protein. Enough said.

I used to think the more expensive the protein the better it is. But that isnt the case. Protein is protein. The only different is some is filtered different and some has BCAA mixed it. I used to only buy Gold standard for the 1st 2 years i was working out. Then i was introduced to Dymatize and loved the fact that it has a lot of BCAA in it along with protein, and the price was great at the time. I only switched over the Bodytech because dymatize went up in price a little bit and i couldnt bring my self to pay 2-3 extra in store for it. So I gave the VS brand a try. The taste isnt the best but i dont drink protein for flavor. I try shoot it down or mix it with rolled oats. It has more BCAA then Dymatize but the protein is a bit less by 6-7g's but that isnt a problem. 1 and 1/2 scoop should be around 25-26gs which is perfect for me. Again taste isnt great. But for what its priced at, its a good buy in my opinion.

This protein was alright. Mixed decently, did leave clumps, and didn't taste that great. I didn't feel as though this protein did as well of a job as other name brands, but then again I cant be 100% sure what went on in my body. However, I felt like this product, although good, was lacking in comparison.

This product has to be one of the best whey protein values on the market. I've been using this for about six months and it really has been great. Each one-scoop serving is only 17g which is a little lower than some similar products, but thats easily fixable. Highly recommended.

Ive researched a lot of different brands on the market and I have always been skeptical on ''no name'' brands, but with this product really lives up to its name. Its the best value out there. Couple differences between Vitamin Shoppe's 5lb tub and Optimum Nutrition's 5lb tub. Two dollars, VS slightly higher protein content, and ON better taste. The only way I could enjoy VS brand was to mix in some peanut butter, and even that was only tolerable. VS had a slightly higher protein content, but this was negated somewhat by ONs 5.15lb tub vs VS 5 lb tub. For the 2 bucks extra, go for the ON.

I was trying to save money and give the VS brand a shot. Tried their chocolate mint when I first started drinking whey and I don't htink I even finished it, it was so bad. Got the vanilla flavor and was told it "tasted like butterscotch" for which I have a weakness - nothing could be further from the truth. I couldn't finish it and had to give it away. I tried one last time with this chocolate flavor and it was so bad I had to take it back.

I have tried many different protein powders and many different flavors, and this one is the best! I keep an old container on hand, and order chocolate and vanilla. Then I mix them 50/50 in the old container. It's the best of both worlds!

Not to bad of stuff. It's not the absolute best tasting protien that vitamin shoppe has to offer. I like there Whey tech 28 better, but this is pretty good stuff as well.
