We LOVE it! It is a TOP Quality product, good taste very mild and a very little goes LONG way too! wonderful for use inside and externally in human and animal. Our dog LOVES it as treat. It tastes great, absorbs so rapidly into skin. I use for moisturizer internally for cardiac, arthritis and other health benefits. I have heard great for cooking esp stir fry which I have not yet tried. Only Caveat is if you or housemate has allergy, as with any product, one must be aware of that! It also doesn not mix well into COLD shakes drinks. However it does melt in seconds when solid used any other way.

I am a borderline diabetic. My doctor told me that if I didn't change my diet I would soon be on medication. I started making healthier chooses with one of them being coconut oil. After hearing about it on Dr. Oz and doing some research, I started taking this product the first of November. I started taking 1 tsp 3 x day with meals. I now take 1/2 tbsp 3 x day with meals. My fasting morning numbers went from 112 to around 90, which is in the normal range. I am very grateful for Organic Virgin Coconut Oil and the knowledge that was shared regarding this product. Will be taking A1C test soon, hopefully those numbers have improved also.

I haven't tried this specific brand of Coconut oil, but compared it to the one I use. Decent comparison. How different can you get!

Coconut oil is great for use on a griddle, or mixing it right in to pancakes or other foods. I use Nature's Way, which is also available from The Vitamin Shoppe. Especially good when cooking up stove top chicken, like for stir fry, because the coconut taste comes through when you eat it.

If by chance you get some on your fingers, don't wipe it off, rub it in. This type of cooking oil can also be used cosmetically!

Does not mix well with cold ingredients, because coconut oil solidifies at colder temps. Can be stored unrefrigerated and keeps in a liquid state. But if you keep the thermostat down in your house, it will get hard (white color). No problem with this. Heat up or place in a warm place. If you are adding to batter (which has cold eggs or milk), immediately mix when added. It will thaw out in the pan when it cooks.

Sale price on this item is good, but regular price is over-priced a little. Nature's Way, per 16oz, I get for $8.29 (I'm not supposed to tell you where!) You do the math when you check out the Vitamin Shoppe's price.

I am using it for my hair, skin and using it in my baked goods and cooking. I have only been using it a few weeks on my fine hair. Just a very small dab in my palm to rub on dry ends and once a week do a massage into the scalp at night of the oil. I am noticing hair growth and my hair not breaking off as much when I brush it. I am also using skin and it is making it softer and less dry looking. I have done research and it is supposed to be one of the best oils to use. It makes everything taste so delicious and it takes so little! Good thing as this is expensive. I have lost 3 pounds too. Unexpected! Who knew?

I read about the many benefits of coconut oil and decided to purchase this brand last yr. I am very glad i did. I tried another brand, doesnt come close to this one. This product smells great. authentic. I use it mainly for my hair as pre-poo treatments as well as moisturizer. Great for skin too. no longer use lotion.

I just Love this product. I've used this coconut oil on my hair and it has done wonders to help keep my hair soft and especially when you apply it before you shampoo/condition. I am now using it to mix with unrefined shea butter, grapeseed oil, aloe vera gel (which i also bought from you guys), glycerine and some jojoba for a nice whipped shea butter. I love the vitamin shoppe. I am a natural product junkie so it was only fair that i come here to purchase. The staff is always awesome at the frisco location!

I use this on my hair and skin. I whipped it with 100% unrefined shea butter, jojoba oil and grapeseed oil. This finish is a creamy frosting-like moisturizer that I use on my hair and body. A little bit goes a long way. Makes my hair so soft (no need for conditioner). And smells great. I've also used it as a pull (look it up in google) and it makes my mouth so fresh (has natural antibacterial properties). Every now and then I'll even give my dog a teaspoon as a treat (she loves it and it's suppose to be good for their coat). I would definitely buy it again. I haven't cooked with it yet but that is something I'll have to try next. :)
