It made me sick
It tore my stomach and GI systems up. I stopped taking it after a week and are slowly feeling better after another week of doing nothing but sleeping. I had headaches, chills, and fevers. I couldn't do anything other than sleep to avoid the nauseated feeling.

I'm truly impressed with this supplement, I have noticed an improvement in my vision, skin, and nails since I started using it. I can see sharper and my eyes aren't as dry. My skin is smoother and the vertical ridges in my nails have disappeared. Also, the achiness in my neck has vastly improved.

Best Answer:  Vitamin Shoppe Brand Astaxanthin is made from natural astaxanthin. Natural astaxanthin meaning derived from Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae and NOT derived from synthetic petroleum based sources. The Astaxanthin used is organic.

  I can only answer according to the label. It says 12mg astaxanthin are derived from microalgae Haematoccus pluvialis. I do not see any other ingredients that look artificial.
