This astaxanthin is great, My problem is with mother nature. When this product is delivered through the mail in the summertime in an area that gets extremely hot, the gel caps melt a little bit and they all stick together inside the bottle pretty much permanently. So, now when I take a dose, I have to break a cap off of the big astaxanthin blob that lives in cupboard.

Best Answer:  Vitamin Shoppe Brand Astaxanthin is made from natural astaxanthin. Natural astaxanthin meaning derived from Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae and NOT derived from synthetic petroleum based sources. The Astaxanthin used is organic.
