Directions

Adults begin with 1 capsule per day with 8oz. of water or juice and gradually increase to 1 capsule 3 times per day. Best taken on an empty stomach.

how many do you take per day?

Best Answer:  To get the 15 bn you have to take three a day, each giving 5 bn. I take one in the morning and one at night and am fine with it. Actually wouldn't recommend taking more than one a day until your body acclimates. I don't swear by much but think this is an excellent all-around health item. Healthy gut = healthy person.

Best Answer:  I store mine in the refrigerator. I think it was one of the best health decisions I ever made, to take these probiotics. Hope you find the same.

Best Answer:  Hi, this is Julie H, the person who posted the question. Thank you all for your responses. I decided to also contact Garden of Life customer support and here is their response: "Thank you for your email and interest in Garden of Life's products. The probiotics used in our Primal Defense formulas do not need refrigeration because they remain dormant in a dry state and only activate when they become moist. This process begins when they are ingested and so activation will begin in the gut. If the products are refrigerated once opened the probiotics may become moist, and possibly activate before they are ingested. This goes for all of our Primal Defense formulas. Please store the Primal Defense in a cool dry place such as a kitchen cabinet/pantry."

Is this safe to use everyday?

Best Answer:  Like with any probiotic, use and adjust based on your condition. Too much can cause bloating, so you need to give your system time to adjust. Garden of life offers great quality, but like with any supplement, always try and see how you feel. You may decide to take it every day or once a week. Remember that everyone's digestive system is unique.

Best Answer:  The capsules are vegetarian. I do not see inulin anywhere on the label, but I am not familiar with it. You may want to Google "Garden of Life" to make sure.

Best Answer:  They are the strongest. I see no reason why not. Not sure why you want a child to take but if not a medical type issue and just general health save money and get the regular ones.
