This is my pick for fish oil, for years.
This is a fish oil that I notice the benefits from. If I ever forget to take it at night, (I take it with vitamin D and magnesium glycinate), the next morning I feel less energized for getting out of bed, and it takes longer for my brain to get up to speed.

High quality
This is the perfect, high quality omega/fish oil supplement. This is the only brand I trust and it's reputation is excellent. I feel better on it for sure, in particular it helps me balance my diet. There is nothing I don't love about it.

Vitamin Shoppe does nothing to protect shipments from effects of summer heat - to your home or to their stores
Do NOT order any Vitamin Shoppe gel capsule products during the summer heat. Vitamin Shoppe does NOTHING to protect the contents of your package. EVERYTHING will be melted together. And, if you go to their store to buy your product, you must at least shake the products that are on the shelves to see if the capsules sound like they're moving around freely. I just received this Nordic Naturals Omega 3 bottle in the mail (delivery was placed inside a locker in a shaded, protected area & I picked it up right after it was delivered.). When I pulled the bottle out, it was heavy. I shook it and it sounded like there was a brick inside. Everything clumped. Went to the store to return the ruined bottle and get one off the shelf instead. SAME ISSUE. The first one I tried in the store had the same problem - no loose capsules, just one big clump inside. Sorted through all the stock until I found one that was OK - none of the capsules were clumped together. What in the WORLD, Vitamin Shoppe??? There are ways to protect shipments in the heat! What can you be thinking, especially when you ship from freaking Arizona in the summer time?

Based on the number of mg in each capsule, it should probably lower my LDL quite a bit, but I won't know for one more month.
I won't know how well it's working until I get my Lipids checked again in March.

Best Answer:  I second the comments from Elaine K. No taste issue, but could be challenging for some kids to swallow, esp if they are younger, or tense up.

Most important....Make sure you have qualified medical advice on proper dose, including optimum DHA/EPA ratio, for your kids' age and application. (Ultimate Omega has higher amts than the average adult supplement.) EPA>DHa is recommended for some health concerns, while others might need DHA>EPA, or DHA=EPA.

I saw easy to swallow wasn't very high. How big are these capsules (penny, nickel, quarter)?

Best Answer:  This is a great product; I use it every day and feel better for it. The capsules are fairly large, about the size of a Mike and Ike candy or a Good N Plenty, but they are easy to swallow. Their elongated shape and slipperiness when wet help a lot. Just be sure to take a sip of something first so your mouth is wet, wet the capsule in your mouth and then wash it down with a drink. I take four of these a day and there's no problem. Be well!

Of course I don't have room in my refrigerator
But they don't go rancid and if kept cooler you might avoid the tendency to stick together.

Best Answer:  Fish oils in general do not contain any sodium.
There is a small amount of sodium in the gelatin used in the soft gels, which is less than 1mg, depending on the size of the soft gel, but not enough to have to report on our labels. - Theresa K. (VS)
