Comments about KAL Dolomite Powder - 1 Pound Powder:

Dolomite fell out of favor for a while because of warnings about lead content. But it is cheap and it works and I figure we are challenged with all sorts of toxins all over and this stuff makes you feel better and it was probably mostly propaganda anyway. Out of an abundance of caution however, I mostly use it with a hydration drink of 1 half lemon or lime with a 12-16 glass of water and about an 1/8 tsp of Dolomite. I also add a little gentian tincture but this is optional. You need a balance of cal/mag to be hydrated on the cellular level and this assimilates so quickly in a small dose it will also relieve menstrual cramps immediately. It is the main ingredient in some antacids without the artificial color, flavor and sweetener so can be used occasionally mixed in water if say, you get too acid from drinking too much wine or eating acid food.

Comments about KAL Dolomite Powder - 1 Pound Powder:

I Recommend this to any one who needs a good bowel movement and who have muscles tightness. It will also give your heart muscle a stable beat. It will also release the pain from an toothache. If you take to much, you will get diarrhea. I recommend taking 1 teaspoon 4 days out of the week. Night time is the best time, unless you have severe pain.

Comments about KAL Dolomite Powder - 1 Pound Powder:

Just stir into your choice of juice or milk. It has a very mild flavor, so it doesn't change the flavor of a beverage much - just the consistency a bit. It could also be used in cooking to increase the calcium level without changing the flavor. It has just the right balance of calcium and magnesium to support good bone health and is very economical.

I second the previous review, would like to add that if I get Ca and/or Mg deficiency arrhythmia symptoms, they calm down within about 30 minutes after I drink a teaspoon full of this product.

I hate having to take a calcium supplement. I hate the tablets that are big enough for a horse or the chews that taste foul. This powder is the perfect addition to either my morning or evening smoothie. It blends easily and adds no flavor to the smoothie.

I feel the same way, and it has no taste. Additionally, it gets into the bloodstream more quickly than pills, I get arrhythmia if i get Ca/(Mg?) deficient, and with this product it calms down within 1/2 h after I drink it.

I'm looking to improve my teeth and bone health. Did you know that Dolomite is a rich source of calcium? I'm looking forward to using it as a toothwash in addition to dietary supplement.

I need to soak pumpkin pieces in lime water? Can I use dolomite powder for this???????????
A Vitamin Shoppe customer on Jul 22, 2014
Best Answer: I am not sure. If the purpose of the "lime" (not the citrus fruit lime) is to alkalize the vegetable, possibly since limestone, which is what "lime" used on gardens is made from, is calcium or clacium/magnesium. If the purpose is to pickle the vegetables, then I think one must use pickling lime. I would research this prior to trying since you wouldn't want to waste your vegetables.

                          soraya d on Feb 22, 2015
Best Answer: In general, this material is finely ground natural limestone from quarries. Although its main components are Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium carbonate (in varying proportions), the natural rock may contain a small percentage of other minerals. You should write to the specific manufacturer for more specific answers about its full chemical contents.
