Comments about Nature's Life Magnesium Malate (1,300 MG) - 250 Tablets:

A necessary nutrient that is often neglected or not provided for enough through fruits and vegetables. The malate form is absorbable and not immediatly eliminated colloidally (diareah). The price was right but could always be better. The malate form is also supposed to be fruit energy derived and although I've never felt the energy it does have a slightly fruity flavor.

Best Answer: The difference is in the organic acid used to make the magnesium soluble and palatable. Malic acid's chemical formula is HO2CCH2CHOHCO2H=C4H6O5. Citric acid's chemical formula is HO2CCH2COHCH2CO2HCO2H=C6H8O7. Both are natural organic acids found in fruits. There may be minor differences in solubility, but otherwise the supplements should be equivalent if they contain the same amount of magnesium per tablet or caplet, and which you choose would depend on your personal preference.
