Best Answer:  My husband and I have been using this product for about 15 years. (In addition to many other supplements) Based on what I have read over the years I believe it works in conjunction with the Red Yeast Rice and the CoQ-10 in protecting the heart by preventing blood clots,lowering cholesterol, and triglycerides, and help from forming fatty liver deposits.
A favorite book that explains vitamin & Herbal supplements in an easy to read format is "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by Phyllis A. Balch, CNC
