Comments about Source Naturals Progesterone Cream - 2 Ounces Cream:

A friend recommended this cream to me to help with hot flashes & PMS. It made my PMS worse, and even after my cycle started, I developed depression...crying, sadness, irritability. I also developed cold/flu-like symptoms and rapid heartbeat. I was disappointed that these side-effects occurred, since my friend is benefitting so much from it. I guess it will just affect certain people in a negative way. I can't say the product is bad, but it just didn't work for me.

Comments about Source Naturals Progesterone Cream - 2 Ounces Cream:

I've used several brands of progesterone cream and this is my favorite. The quality of the product is superb and the price is excellent. I buy the 2 oz. jars because they are the best value I've found. This cream has regulated my cycle, has virtually done away with my PMS symptoms, and has balanced my overall mood. I use it twice a day for 14 days before the start of my cycle.

is it recommended to take a combination of estrogen and progesterone?
A Vitamin Shoppe customer on Jul 2, 2014
Best Answer: I look at progesterone as the safe, building, balancing hormone that can be used without prescription. So many of us have excess exo-estrogens from our environmental pollutants even if we're menopausal, that this balancing function of progesterone cream can help calm. I've been to health care practitioners that prescribed a combination of estrogen and progesterone, both in a cream form, and I understand for many these combos work well. I found the combo would work for a time, calming and even eliminating hot flashes, but they would inevitably return even when the practitioner adjusted the doses. It became frustrating to me and expensive, so I decided to use the progesterone cream alone on my own, using the directional guidelines. Progesterone cream for me has not stopped hot flashes but decreased their intensity and helps me feel physically and psychologically more balanced.

I battle with Roseacea and take BP meds, antibiotics, and low thyroid meds. Is it safe to use this cream?
            Rubye J. L on Jun 27, 2013
Best Answer: Wow Rubye--you do have a lot on your plate! I think only your pharmacist or doctor could really answer this question for you since he/she knows more about the interactions between the meds. If BP means blood pressure, I don't think there's a problem, but if it means BiPolar, there could possibly be an issue...I'm not sure. Anyway, for my personal experience...I LOVE this cream. I am done w/ menopause, but still use it as it helps me maintain my strength, mood and body temperature at almost pre-menopause levels. My doctor disagrees with me, but I think it has even slowed the greying of my hair! lol. I take 1/2 tsp in the morning and 1/2 in the evening for 21 days, then I go off it for 7 days. I stopped it for about 6 months after I was done with menopause, but did not like how weak and old I felt, so I started it up again. I've been taking it now for about a year and a half (for a total of about 4 years) and don't plan to quit anytime soon. Good luck, kiddo.

Best Answer: My name is Ana and I am using the cream. Ariel only received the cream for me. I did not listen any comments about health problems using this cream. I bought it twice already because this cream helps my skin and I'll keep buying as long as I feel good about using it ..

You state that this product is paraben free, yet it has proplyparaben in it. That is soooo wrong.....???
            Traci V on Jan 5, 2014
Best Answer: Traci: Progesterine Cream is made from Yams which contain : Propylparaben, the n-propyl ester of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, occurs as a natural substance found in many plants and some insects, although it is manufactured synthetically for use in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and foods. It is a preservative typically found in many water-based cosmetics, such as creams, lotions, shampoos and bath products.
The two words Paraben and Proplyparaben are like comparing apples and oranges. One is not natural and one is found in Nature. You can eat more Yams and Sweet potatoes in your diet and/or use the cream in an unobtrusive area because the Yams in it can leave an orange/yellow tint to the skin.
