  On NOW's own site, they say that most of their essential oils are digestible. Especially oils like lemon, peppermint and orange. I would probably use the minimum amount first and then gradually increase as needed.

is this a food grade oil? is it organic?

  The label says for external use only. Although the label indicates 100% pure, it does not claim to be organic. I use this for cleaning and diffusing or topical use, but not for ingesting. I purchase both DoTerra and Young Living Lemon oils for use in beverages and to cook with.

  The label on the bottle states that this lemon oil is for aromatherapy and that it is to be diluted with a carrier oil for other uses (ie.: lotions, soaps, etc.). It is described as 100% pure, not organic.

Is the 100% pure Lemon Oil food grade and edible?

  Yes, you can digest lemon oil but proceed with caution. Pure edible oils are those from lemon or orange peels. Essential oils are usually labeled For External Use Only as a warning. Lemon oil is very strong and can be irritating if not used correctly. Lemon oil naturally contains Bergapten, a UV photosensitizer (that may make the you more sensitive to bright ultra-violet light)

  yes, but cautiously, it's not like lemon juice, much more concentrated; can put drops in lotion or hair products such as shampoos also... I've added it to cake or icing also..

Is this product OK to clean Koa wood?

  Hello, this particular oil alone is too acidic for the Koa wood as it is pure. Eventually over time it would cause striations or cracking in the wood.You may however add a couple of drops of this oil to mineral oil (which at the present time is the best treatment for Koa wood).Trust this helps!!

  I have used it on wood, but I would also look into cleaning lemon oil for wood, rather than the essential oil. It is less expensive.
