Are the Carlson brand Vitamin K2 5mg. capsules hard capsules that can be cut into halves or thirds in order to decrease the amount taken each time?

Are there any side effects taking this vitimin? What is highest dose that can be taken? ALSO IS THERE A HIGHER DOSE IN 1 VITIMIN K2 PILL THAN 5 MG?

Best Answer:  5 mg is already a very high dose. Dr. Kate Rheaume-Bleue who wrote the book on K2 recommends 100 mcg daily, which is 0.1 mg, unless you are taking over 2000 IU of Vitamin D3 in which case you should increase your K2 proportionately. However she also said there haven't been any reported toxicities with taking larger doses.
