Great help for gout
I have been using Vitamin Shoppe for over 10 years. It really helps to prevent a gout attack. In the event of an attack I take about 4-6 capsuls a day and relief comes quickly, usually in 2 days.

Works perfectly for gout every time.
I have been using Vitamin Shoppe Celery Seed capsules for years and it has always given me excellent relief for gout. I recommended it to some of my friends who have been hospitalized with severe attacks of gout and each and every one found that celery seed gave them complete relief without resorting to prescription medication. Usually within 3 days the attack as stopped and the pain and swelling has ceased. I hope Vitamin Shoppe never stops selling this excellent product. It works every time without fail. I usually order 5 at a time.

Diuretic, Sleep and Arthritis
As my mothers helper I get her Celery Seed to help eliminate excess water, for it has a diuretic effect. It's supposed to work well for Arthritis inflammation, swelling and pain and helps her to Sleep well.

She takes only one prescription for high blood pressure, that also has a diuretic effect but this hasn't interfered.

She also takes a 99 mg Potassium a day and Pumpkin Seed Oil 1000 mg due to the water loss.

I am a brand and budget conscious buyer.

She's done good on this regimen and has helped keep swelling in her ankle down. Lipitor, statins caused her extreme muscle damage

Great for gout
I was having huge problems with gout and swollen/painful feet. When I saw celery seed was recommended for gout I took a chance and ordered. The pain was gone is less than three days and the swelling in my feet went away in about a month. The only times I've had any problem at all is when I ran out of celery seed and was waiting on my order, and even that pain was minor compared to what I had before. I love this stuff!

Use for gout
My husband has gout and was taking allopurinol daily. A pharmacist recommended celery seed. The Vitamin Shoppe was the only store I was able to find it in near my home. The price is good; and I think the quality is good too. He has been using it for over a year and no gout attacks! He only takes the celery seed; no more allopurinol. It's also very easy to order from the website!

Celery Seed VS-1964
After four different high blood pressure medications (all prescriptions) with three different doctors, a wellness doctor put my wife on a regimen of celery seed along with a prescription of Armour Thyroid. She has been doing well with this now for over a year.

Question? Was she just being treated for high blood pressure? and if so what was the 3 meds she was on prior to her being put on this regimen..also if you could please advise as to whether her blood pressure meds had a diuretic in the meds.

How does Armour Thyroid help with high blood pressure? I have high blood pressure and am looking to get off it onto something else. But I was reading about Armour Thyroid, and there is no mention of it being used for high blood pressure.

Best Answer:  My wife and I use celery seed for gout. It works great with no side effects. I have been using it for over 20 years. I have neuropathy in my toes and celery seed has had no beneficial effect on that issue.

Is the celery seed, not extract ?

Best Answer:  It is not an extract. I have been taking this celery seed product for about 15 years. When I first started taking it I looked for an extract because it's better to deal with a standardized measurement. However, this product has consistently met my needs. I take this for gout. If I fail to take it for a couple of days, my toes hurt like they've been hit with a hammer. This product solves my problem and there are no side effects.

About 8 years ago my wife started having pain in here toes. I thought it was the high heels she wore to work everyday. After about 2 years it finally dawned on me that it might be gout. Within a week of taking the celery seed every day, her pain went away. Another success story. We each take 3 capsules every day.

Best Answer:  I don't have an anser for your question..But.maybe I can help you out in letting you know,that the celery pills along with my one glass of celery juice per day,helped lower my blood pressure by 3 to 6 points.That's all I needed.

Its recommended you take 1000-1500 mg a day but your saying to take 3 capsules 3 times a day which would be 4500 mg a day ?

Best Answer:  Each serving would contain, 1500 mg. If using three times per day it would be 4500 mg per day. There is not an established recommended daily value for celery seed.
