      Worth a try
      I can tell they are effective but it isn't for everyone. I got blood work done and I started talking these to lower my cholesterol. 2g/day should lower LDL by 5-10% so I took this for 6 months and then I did followup blood work and I had an atypical response. My LDL cholesterol went up and my HDL cholesterol went down which is the opposite result intended. My platelets which were really elevated actually went down from these which is also not the normal response and can indicate a genetic…

      I first read about the benefits of plant sterols in a medical journal distributed to doctors at the hospital I work in. The article said that plant sterols/stenols naturally reduce LDL cholesterol and raise HDL counts.       Plant Sterols Work!!!
      My cholesterol had been elevated 237 to be exact back at the end of October 2015. I got my labs done last week early part of February 2015 and the results shocked me I must say it went down to 208. I just reduced the use of cheese, butter and fried foods some. I also used KAL Red Yeast Rice/CoQ10/Fish Oil Supplement just for the first 30 days.

      my husband has coronary disease and has a defibrillator/pacemaker and artificial valves,multiple heart attacks in the past, two open heart bypasses, congestive heart failure, reduced kidney function,prostate issues,multiple dvt's in legs and saddle embolism in both lungs in 1999. He's been on oxygen since then. He also had his pericardium stripped in 2005.Is this product safe and effective for him?.He is on coumadin for blood thinning. We need help choosing these types of products.

      What is the difference between the Plant Sterol and the Sitosterol? I am new to the product but have seen both of these names and curious it they are the same? I have also heard different preferred daily dosage to take. I have heard (2) 60mg per day and I have heard (2) 900mg per day. Whis is the preferred?

      Best Answer:  I have been using Heart Choice Plant Sterols for a few years. I use this product (one softgel daily)to reduce my LDL level of Cholestrol. It has worked.

      In reference to the differene between the two, I am unable to advise you.
