      So glad I tried these. I usually use natures bounty cause they are coated and most lysine for some reason aren't. Well these vitamin shop lysine tablets in 1000 mg ARE coated and just as easy to swallow. They're great.

      Best Answer:  I take 1000 mg daily and have for years to help bolster my immune system. Seems to work!! I also give it to my cats but only 250 mg in the a.m. and 250 in the p.m. One has gingivitis and it helps to control that. The other takes it as an immune system bolster as well as they both go outside and have exposure to other cats who may not be as healthy. Hope this helps!

      I take an L-Lysine 500mg. at times when I get a sore or blister in my mouth, on my tongue, gums, etc. However the tablets I have been getting are so big I cannot swallow them.
      Are there any Lysine products in soft capsule form that are easy to swallow?

        The Lysine capsules are much easier to swallow. They aren't small, but I take them with yogurt. In fact, I take all of my supplements with yogurt, and I find they go down much easier that way.

        I use L-Lysine daily to prevent/treat herpes simplex, which occurs inside my mouth. Works great. Have not heard about Bell's Palsy treatment, but it couldn't hurt to try -- it's safe enough.

      I keep a pitcher of fresh-brewed decaf green tea (bought in bulk from Amazon) in my fridge (add lemon juice & sweetener) & drink it daily instead of water. A surprise side-effect several years ago was that it cured my rosacea! I now blend it with hibiscus -- not only healthy, but delicious. Hey, you never know!

      Questions for Similar Products
      How large are these to swallow? Are they capsules or tablets? I have a large gag reflex and large, especially tablets, are difficult for me to swallow.

      How large are the capsules? I'm going for 500 mg. rather than 1000 mg. which I bought elsewhere. I've never actually seen a horse pill, but I imagine they are about the same as the 1000 mg. white pills I've tried to swallow. :) lol Looking for ease in swallowing. Can take two to get the higher dose. Thank you to all who reply!
