About This Product

Fractionated coconut oil is truly a versatile oil with numerous benefits from culinary to cosmetics. A fraction of the whole oil where certain chains of fatty acids are separated, refining, clarifying, and deodorizing the oil while keeping the benefits as an emollient and moisturizer the same. Unlike many other carrier oils it is highly stable, odorless, deodorized, non-staining, and colorless making it wonderful to use as a carrier oil for essential oils, for handmade skin and hair products, aromatherapy, and massage therapy. Feather-light, absorbs readily into the skin without clogging pores and is excellent for dry, troubled skin.

Directions

For personal care, it can be applied to the skin for face and body care. Can be used on all skin types and is excellent for mature, dry-damaged skin. May also be used as a massage oil.

Warning

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. If irritation, redness or discomfort occurs, consult a licensed healthcare practitioner. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.

Great product for skin and for massage and for a carrier oil for essential oils

Can you use this fractionated oil as the last step in skin care regimen, on top of your moisturizer? In other words will it work as a moisturizer booster when your skin is very dry? I wear 1- serum then 2- moisturizer so I'm looking at adding this as #3 to go on top of the moisturizer to help my skin stay comfortable all night. Will it work that way? FYI All my skin care is store bought, I don't use DIY stuff.

Best Answer:  I would say yes!! It goes on nicely and does not stay "oily/greasy". I don't use it on my face regularly but I have used it several times and have been happy with the results.

Best Answer:  Yes it can! I am currently using it as a carrier oil with Mountain Rose Herbs essential oils and it works great.

why, if it is a dietary supplement and 100% cocnut oil, is marked for external use only?

Best Answer:  There is a more solid version of coconut oil sold in the grocery stores. I do not think all of it is "food grade" made for human consumption. I use it in shampoo and coat conditioning for horses. Does it say it is a dietary supplement on their product description?

I'm thinking of buying it to mix with magnesium oil spray to make the magnesium oil less irritating to the skin? Would this work?

Best Answer:  This fractionated coconut oil is great to use with essential oils.
It would NOT be useful for magnesium oil though. The following is from a source about magnesium oil:

"Don’t apply lotion before using the magnesium oil. Lotions and other oils will saturate the skin and hinder the uptake of the
magnesium by the skin. Instead what you will have is a whole bunch of magnesium oil sitting on top of your skin."
