I've been using the Vitamin Shoppe brand peppermint essential oil for a month on my air purifier pads and mixed in my body wash for extra cleaning. Noticed it was not as strong as other brands, and more oily. However I kept using. It wasn't until night before last that I used it in my sanitized c-pap water chamber that I had to throw it away. This smells horrific.
It is a rancid ghost of lavender. I should have believed the other warnings from reviewers. This smells like it once contained actual Lavender Augustafolia and is now filled with water and some weird chemical. You can faintly smell lavender for a split second and then your nose is just filled with something that's gone horribly wrong. The bottle says it is 100% Lavender Augustafolia. Which particular variety is this? “Rosemary” is the common name given to the essential oil which is distilled from the leaves and twigs of the Rosmarinus "officinalis". There are several chemotypes for this essential oil, each with their own therapeutic properties. ( noted as "ct."for chemotype ) For example, the “camphor” chemotype is written as “Rosemary ct. camphor,” or when using the Latin name it is shown as, Rosmarinus officinalis ct. camphor. The actual chemical make up varies a bit from one to the other. I love your stores. I have bought about $200 worth of your Oils so far. Thanks

Best Answer:  The fine print says " Not for internal Use" So probably not. What I have done is to take the dried rosemary leaves and put them in a little hot water and steep the leaves. I then add that to my drinks for an added boost to my Blueberries and protein drink in the morning. Try that if you cannot find pure Rosemary oil. Doterra might sell a more internally form of this oil.Hope that helps.
