I've purchased lemon essential oil from other companies and was excited to get this on sale.I like to add lemon oil to my drinking water. Unfortunately, this VS oil did not taste nor smell like refreshing lemon peel. It may have been adulterated with something. Unfortunately the store would not offer me a refund even though I was slightly past the 30 day purchase date. I would not recommend this oil and had such a poor experience, I don't plan on buying any other VS essential oils.

The smell of clean

Are Vitamin Shoppe brand oils steam-distilled?

Best Answer:  I know of no other way to obtain essential oils other than the steam process. I purchased the Vitamin Shoppe lemon essential oil, and it states on the bottle that it is steam processed. And, it is made in the USA. Yay!

How many drops per gallon of water?

Best Answer:  1 ounce of water is 3-4 drops excluding use of children and small pets (usually 1/2 that). There are 128 ounces in 1 gallon so you would use 512 drops. There are 600 drops in 1 ounce of essence oil so you would need a little less than 1 ounce of essence oil. I googled all this information awhile ago so that is my source. Hope that helps. Using a carrier oil is usually 10-12 drops just FYI
