Just a Hype and/or a scam
Both of the Mill Creek Botanical Biotin Therapy Formula Shampoo and Conditioner burned my eyes, made my eyeballs hurt EVEN AFTER RINSING THEM PROPERLY WITH WATER !!!!!! ?????? Also both of those products made my scalp itchy and irritated !!! Which pissed me off even more ????????

Thickens hair and reduces thinning hair
This shampoo is awesome for thinning fine hair!!!! it has helped reduce shedding and thicken my fine hair. i would recommend this to anyone with scalp issues and fine hair! I am thankful i found this product on Vitamin Shoppe.

I'm disappointed in the change
I've been buy Millcreek biotin shampoo for a while now. but you added sodium benzoate to the product.. why? I know the conditioner has it but why the change? I'll try the new change but don't disappoint me lol I < 3 all natural ingredients!

Seems to clean well
Lathers very well to my surprise! I was expecting it not to, based on other reviews. Perhaps because my hair is super fine and thin and I don't use much products at all. A little goes a long way. I only use it on the scalp as it does seem to he drying. The conditioner is horrid, if you have fine hair that needs a true conditioning. My hair became super tangled with the conditioner!! I've never experienced anything like it!! I had to use a different cond after rinsing it out, then a leave in cond!! I returned that and am still trying to figure out if I really like the shampoo.

Wonderful product
[This is the same review I wrote for the shampoo. Both are excellent products.]

My fine straight shoulder-length hair was a frizzy disaster after five decades of using commercial shampoo. I tried dietary supplements -- biotin tabs helped stop the fallout -- but was in despair at how unhealthy my hair looked. I don't wear cosmetics or spend much time or money on my appearance, and I wasn't going to start dumping expensive product on my head every day to tame the mess.

As soon as I started using the Mill Creek shampoo and conditioner, my hair softened and relaxed. Immediate improvement. It is actually shiny again, without adding product, and seems slightly thicker.

Now I wash my hair only every two to four days, and apply this shampoo to just the scalp. I leave the conditioner in for several minutes and rinse just the scalp, to leave some conditioner in the hair shaft. I also brush my hair more frequently to distribute the natural oil. Less hair seems to be falling out when I do.

I am very happy with this product. My mother started using it too. Please keep selling it!

Best Answer:  I haven't tried this particular one but I was also in search of an all-natural shampoo and conditioner that minimized hair loss as well as left my hair soft and manageable. I just transitioned to natural hair in June and so far (after trying many products...even ones that's supposed to be for our hair), I am loving the Aubrey Biotin shampoo, conditioner, and the scalp tonic. I bought it at a natural co-op for about 9 bucks a piece but it was worth it. This product has great reviews, all organic..no sulfates and all that, and leaves my hair soft, detangled, and shiny. I have to mention that I have course 4b hair and it's very hard to find something that works and actually is healthy for you.

Best Answer:  I bought this shampoo because I have scalp psoriasis. I was looking for shampoos that are sulfate and paraben free. It has not irriated my scalp.

Is Millcreek Biotin Shampoo safe for daily use on color treated hair ?

Best Answer:  I had 6 mo. chemo, lost a little hair, but not all, and my hair was very dry. I got this shampoo to help grow & thicken my hair. 14 weeks post-treatment, I had my hair colored and highlighted again and my stylist said that whatever I had been doing had helped my hair, since it had been so fragile right after treatment. This shampoo definitely does not hurt color treated hair and in fact, helps it. I will say that I never use just a shampoo without using conditioner also, as that will dry out my hair no matter what kind of shampoo it is.

Best Answer:  Hi Jackie, I have a bottle of it right here. I do not think it contains gluten, but here are the ingredients as listed on the bottle:

Deionized Water, Biotin, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Peppermint Oil, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Niacin, Folic Acid, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Organic Essential Oil, Jojoba Oil, Inositol, Barley Extract, Sodium, Myreth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Oil), Octyl Dimethyl PABA, Styrene/Aacrylates Copolymer, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Botanical Fragrance.

I've used several biotin shampoos (difficult to find them continuously stocked) and really like all of them that I've tried. I like the fragrance of this one and the feel of my hair after using it. It's an opaque liquid and not thick (a little more watery than others-water is the first ingredient) just to let you know that.

Best Answer:  I'm not sure how to answer that. I have long hair, and it's remarkably healthy and shiny, especially for my age (53). But, I get it trimmed every 4 weeks.

This shampoo has definitely made my hair thicker and healthier. If your hair is dry, I would recommend the CREAM conditioner.

Best Answer:  The last ingredient is Botanical Fragrance...it's definitely not lavender. I just bought another brand from Vitamin Shoppe called Nature's Gate Shampoo--Biotin. It has a nice fragrance, as well. My favorite biotin shampoo from V.S. came in a blue bottle, but I can't remember the name. I haven't been able to find it again.
