Best Answer:  I would have no idea why they are sending this question to me? How am I supposed to know why it has lead in it? Ask the company that makes it. I only ordered it once and haven't since.

Best Answer:  the package does not indicate that they are. They are little green round tablets about 1/2 " across- not capsules- but they are small enough for me to swallow
