Directions

What is the source of vitamin B 12? It appears to have a high amount of it, but I am looking for where it comes from. I have read that B12 obtained from plant based sources (vs animal based B 12) is structurally similiar to B 12 but not bioidentical for human absorption and use and that it can actually inhibit B 12 absorption by competing with it causing B 12 deficiencies....so I guess I am wondering if the B 12 is a plant based source or an animal based source....any input?

Best Answer:  The B12, and ALL of Garden of Life products, source their vitamins and nutrients from a whole food base of 23 different fruits and vegetables. All of GOL's products are considered 'Raw', which not only means that they are produced below 115º F, but also means that these nutrients come with their natural cofactors, along with live probiotics and enzymes, just like raw foods. The B12 in all off GOL products are specifically formulated to deliver 1,000mcg and 16,670% of the Daily Value of Vitamin B12 in the active Methylcobalamin form. Hi, I would like to know if teen girls can take this vitamin?

Best Answer:  I don't know of any reason why not. I would recommend you read The Maker's Diet by Jordan Rubin, the founder of Garden of Life.

My son started taking these vitamins when he was 18. He was having IBS symptoms at the time. That was 6 years ago, and he has none of those issues any more.

My daughter in law uses the prenatal vitamins, which were recommended by her obstetrician.

Best Answer:  You are never too young to start taking care of yourself. What you do now will help when your older. I love this product. RAW is best so why not start now? Looking back I wish I knew what I knew now. They have products geared to ages so they know how our bodies change over time!!

Best Answer:  I have been taking these for over a year now and I love them. I don't think they promote gain weight however, different bodies reacts differently to supplements. When I first started taking them, I actually noticed I wasn't as hungry throughout the day.

Has anyone using this product has any issues with bloating or contispition?

Best Answer:  I have taken them for over a year and have never had those issues. I have had IBS for several years and this doesn't make it any worse. It could just be your body changing as you get older. I was in my mid 30's when the doctor diagnosed me. Unfortunately, as we get older, we either need to change our diet or suffer the consequences. I would consult your doctor if it becomes a real issue though. Something else could be going on.

Do vitamin code vitamins contain yeast?

Best Answer:  Yes. Reading the label on my bottle of Vitamin Code Women it lists Saccharomyces in the enzyme blend. That is a commonly known yeast, a member of the fungus family.
