Do not order online. Vitamin Shoppe does know know how to package this item. I ordered two gallons and one came damaged (empty), the second was undeliverable. I contacted customer service and they sent replacements but the same thing happened. I requested a refund. They refunded me for one bottle and not the other saying the other was delivered. And now Aya from customer service won't refund me for the empty bottle of aloe they sent me because she says it was delivered.

Don't rely on autoship
It is a great product, but VS cannot seem to get my auto delivery to my house in less than 14 days. I was happy to see that they switched from "Al's Delivery Service" or whatever that off brand courier was to FedEx, but now the shipment has been PENDING for 5 days, 60 miles from my house. Whenever I contact VS about the shipping the answer is, hey it takes two weeks. I've asked to pick up the autoship at the store but somehow the text messages don't arrive in time for me to do that. If you are unable to make your own natural aloe vera juice, this is definitely the next best thing! It's natural, and tastes great. As a person who always made my own, I highly recommend this product--and NO preservatives!

How long does it stay fresh after opening?
Best Answer: 45-60 days. It will become cloudy when sour. Ive used for 60 days and then toss even without the cloudy appearance
Does this have a "citrus" taste like some Aloe Vera Juices or does it taste like "water" like the George's Aloe does?
neither it has a much less bitter taste then straight aloe vera. i never like georges aloe it doesn't help me and i have never run across a straight aloe vera that has any type of citrus flavor.
I read a detox book and this is the brand they highly recommend. It tastes like water, although, it got some bitter notes that are subtle. I did not taste any citrus. I like it, thou.
This product does not taste like water. It tastes a little citrus like but mostly like the after taste of Aloe.
Brenda: I would say that it is more of a "water" taste. To be honest, there really is no taste.

This product being preservative free, what is the expiration period after it's opened? I'm concerned I won't drink it fast enough, since the serving size is only 2 oz.
Best Answer: I drink 8oz per day split into half cups at morning and night. Been drinking this much and this way for 10 years. The bottle does last 45-60 days though. Mine stays for about 15 to 20 days because I use it ;)
