Vitex (Vitex agnus-castus) or Chaste tree is a traditional woman's dietary supplement. It is widely used to promote overall health and balance in a woman's cycle.

Directions

Adults take 1 capsule two or three times daily for 8-12 weeks. Thereafter, take 1 capsule daily. Best results obtained with continuous use. If you are pregnant, nursing, or taking any medications, consult a healthcare professional before use.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! 10/10
I lost weight and noticed that my body wasn?t corresponding as it normally would . Always had regular cycles until two months they?ve been late . One by 4 days and the last by almost 2 weeks and it scared me . Now that we?re TTC and I started paying attention I noticed I wasn?t ovulating nor producing cervical mucus So I did research which led me here ( been on it almost two weeks ) well today ( I didn?t take the pill because I?ve been experiencing horrible cramps & constipation) on 28 day cycle my cycle has come ( which was my normal range ) so fingers crossed to my body adjusting and getting back on track to get this baby ????

Highly Recommend
I have had irregular periods for a while. Anytime I gain weight my period would stop for at least 2 months. My GYN always offer me birth control to regulate it and to be honest I?m so sick of that being their first go to when it comes to regulating periods. Especially when you?re in child bearing age and would like to have a baby soon. So I did my research and found out this works for irregular periods. I haven?t had a period since July 2021. I started taking this for about 2 weeks now. I take one pill 3 times a day and I finally have a period. I will definitely keep adding this to my daily vitamins. This is a proven fact that most doctors just love to run up insurance. I?m baffled sometimes that doctors do not offer natural remedies. My suggestion ladies is if you are uncomfortable with the options your doctor give you do your own research. I really hope this helps.

Cycle out of whack/miscarriage
I suffered a loss last year and my body has been out of whack ever since. I had a normal cycle before the loss (28 day cycles, 6 day period) After I had 3 to 4 day periods with cycles happening ever 20 days, 23, 25 days, and then back to 19 or 20 days. Im very in touch with my body and knew that I was not ovulating for months at a time. I decided to take vitex to see if it would help with my hormones. First month, no changes. Cycle lasted about 19 days. The second month I had noticed signs of ovulation. Instead of day 20, my period started on day 25. It has been the longest and most normal cycle I've had in over a year. Oh and did I mention NO CRAMPS!!!! lol I will continue to take once daily.

Heavy periods and clotting
I have been having terrible periods for about 2 years, it would start a week before my period that I would get mild cramps, mild breast soreness, and mood swings, i would go from super sensitive or super angry. I would then get my period, 2 days of light spotting, then 3 days of very heavy periods and painful periods, I would have to change my diva cup every 2-3 hours and it was full with lots of clotting (I mean alot), then 2 days if lighter flow, for a total of 7-8 days on my period. I researched for months and decided to get the Vitex and Megafood blood builder (as my research indicated I was probably iron deficient which would cause heavy periods with clotting) I started taking both last month and this period has been the best I have had in so long, only one light cramp during my now one heavy flow day, which was not heavy like it used to. I feel so much better and my period now is painless and shorter and I feel great.

Finally something that worked..
started taking 2 pills a day on 11/4/17, got a BFP x2 on 12/27/17.. after a whole year of ttc with no results, i incorporated this herb and here i am, I would and have recommended vitex to all my friends who are ttc.. or regulate your cycle, it really works

Today is my first day using this product. I am very encouraged by all the positive reviews. Wish me luck as I am trying to regulate my cycle and ovulation. I am trying to start a family.

I defiantly would buy this again
I believe this help after going on 5 yrs with no birth control I finally expecting my lil pride and joy. So excited. I took this in November through December not because a doctor recommended me just because I had a few symptoms that I might have a slight bit of hormone imbalance. Had my period every month always around the same time just would fall short or early by a day or two. So I purchased this in stores and I saw the difference instantly. I took 3 a day for a month an a few days just to finish the bottle. Now I'm 1 month pregnant :) it works

A few symptoms I had of imbalance was being sick to my stomach all the time, very forgetful, always sleepy had lil to no energy and a few others

Helped My Luteal Phase Defect
I have a luteal phase defect and because of it I had a miscarriage. My luteal phase was only between 8-10 days. I started taking Vitex about 2 weeks ago and it's already changed my cycle. It has moved my ovulation day up by 3 days. Amazing! I was so surprised that it worked that fast. Now, hopefully, I will get a positive pregnancy test again soon!

Good Stuff!
I've been having jacked up menstrual cycles for I don't know how long now. I started menstruating at 10 years old and I am now 35. I read reviews on this product and figured I'd give it a chance based on all the positive reviews. I hadn't had a period in over 2 months and was tired of taking hormones prescribed by the doctor just to end up in the same boat again. I started taking the vitex twice a day on a Wednesday and that following Monday my period came! What a surprise and relief! Then again it might be a coincidence, but I feel like it was the vitex. I did have headaches in the morning but I think it was because my period was about to start. I would definitely recommend this product based off my experience. I will also continue to use as I've heard it helps with fertility which I have problems with that too.

What is the source of gelatin for these capsules? Is there any other alternative medicine if this contains gelatin from beef/pork?

Best Answer:  Hi! it is a possibility. After I started taking it I lost about 10-15 lbs but I was also taking other natural supplements so I don't know if it was attributed strictly to the vitex.

Best Answer:  Not that I know of! It's common name is Chaste Tree berry and it is for balancing female hormones. It doesn't contain any hormones but it has been used for years to help balance the ratio of estrogen and progesterone in the body. I've used it for years and recommend it to anyone who suspects estrogen dominance.. Research it for yourself, I'm sure it has other uses as well. Hope this helps.

Best Answer:  Vitex increases progesterone levels, not estrogen levels. If you are experiencing issues with low estrogen, I would recommend that you try using Red Clover. It works really well. If you are looking for a healthy balance between estrogen and progesterone, then I would recommend Dong Quai.

Best Answer:  I did not use Vitex for acne so I do not know for sure that it would help you. If your acne is caused or exacerbated by too much estrogen, then Vitex should help considerably. It helps balance estrogen and progesterone levels in the body. I really like that it does this even though it does not contain any hormones.

Best Answer:  Vitex helps to regulate your periods. In doing so you can track your cycle easier and in turn the days that you are most likely to become pregnant.

Can you use this for low estrogen and progesterone? I've been menopause for 9 years (due to a hysterectomy) and my hot flashes are worse now than ever. I'm trying to regulate my levels naturally. Thank you.

Best Answer:  I did have good luck using Vitex for hot flashes during menopause. I don't experience hot flashes in post menopause, but I did take Nature's Way Vitex as directed on the bottle which is 1 tablet 3 times a day for 8 - 12 weeks and I have continued taking one tablet a day for healthy mood support with good results. I've never read about going off of Vitex for a number of months.
