Not a fan of the new packaging and Caplets
It have been taking the gel capsules for years and really like them. The were easier on my digestion. The capsules were easier to take. The new caplets have a smell that gives me nausea. Will keep taking them in case I can get use to them. From the reviews, it seems like others had issues with the capsules. Guess everyone reacts differently.

I will continue to try them but may need to find an alternative.

Great stuff ... never without it
This is a standard, basic item in our "natural" medicine chest. Taken on an empty stomach, it replaces decongestants (with no nasty side effects) and pain relievers. Taken on a full stomach, it aids digestion. Great stuff ... never without it!!

Works for some
Unfortunately, the bromelain capsules didn't help my digestive system. In fact, I started getting an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach when I started taking it. Once I stopped taking it, my stomach returned to normal, without any stomach pains. I supposed it just didn't work for my system.

Should I take the Bromelain with food or on an empty stomach for inflammation? Also, how long have you noticed it takes for it to kick in and provide anti-inflammatory benefits for you?

Best Answer:  I take Bromelain with food. I have been taking the Vitamin Shoppe's Bromelain for many, many, years, so I don't remember exactly the length of time that it took to kick in. However, in my opinion, the Vitamin Shoppe's Bromelain product is the best because they ran out once, and for about three weeks, I had to use another brand. I tried many different brands during this time period trying to find one like the Vitamin Shoppe brand. In my opinion, there's not another product that comes close to the benefits that you receive from taking the Vitamin Shoppe brand.
