Directions
Add two (2) scoops of powder (30.4 g) to one (1) cup (8 fl. oz.) cold water. Stir, blend, or add to shaker bottle and mix or shake until smooth.

Believe the negative reviews..it's disgusting.
I didn't believe the reviews. Trying to describe it other than chemical. It takes sour, bitter, the artificial sweetener taste akin to aspartame (saccharine)), which overwhelms whatever minor chocolate flavoring is inside. It even leaves an after taste in your mouth if you don't rinse.While product was cheap on clearance (I see why now) , I will return the unopened one because sometimes cheap isn't cheap enough

I don't know what the other reviews are talking about. It doesn't smell at all and tastes great in just water. It shakes just fine. It has clean ingredients, maybe people are too addicted to sugar. A little high in cholesterol but great price on sale.

GROSS! AVOID!
I opened the bottle as soon as I got home. It smelled like chemicals. I thought oh maybe just it's just the smell. WRONG. It taste nothing like protein powder. It taste like CHEMICALS!!! I can't get back to the store fast enough to return this!!! I purchased bc it was half off and I needed a quick protein powder!

This is (not) The Whey
I've never felt the need to leave a review before but after tasting this I had to. This is the worst tasting powder I've ever had. Both the taste and smell reek of chemicals. I bought 2 tubs, absolutely no way I will be finishing either.

Good for strict diet or going lean.
I see a lot of mixed reviews but I can say that it mixes and taste better in water which is a huge plus because there is no added sugars, fats and or calories than with milk. With water it's a 4.5/5 with and without the ball, little to no foam, and mixed well with no chunks of leftovers of powder but with milk it's a 3/5 very foamy doesn't matter with or without the ball there is some chunks or leftover powder at the bottom. Taste wise it's a 4/5 if your just looking for something that tastes…

Cheap does not equal good, chocolate flavor is bland, treat yourself with somebody higher tier
I got one 40-serving tub of the chocolate flavor, it was cheap and I needed some protein powder.The taste is flat and bland, not nearly as good as top brands. Until I got used to the flavor being so bleh, it made me want to lose my gains lol.As for performance, the macros are there but I feel better on the higher tier brands. Don't skimp on buying your proteins like I just did, especially if you're consuming 1-2 servings per day.

I know the product delivers 20 grams of protein but I cannot find anywhere what the amino acid breakdown is? I am looking for the amino acid ratios and they are nowhere to be found on the jar.

According to the label this product is nut free and there are no eggs in it either. This should be a good product for my eight grade grandson to use after workouts for recovery. He is allergic to nuts and eggs so I need to know if you think this product will work for him? Thanks!

why choose this whey protein over any other?
The reason you would choose this product is because of the "no artificial colors, flavors, or sweetners" - and it still tastes very good. The reason you wouldn't choose it, and why I won't anymore is that it will not break up in a shaker cup - no matter what is in the cup to break it up, nor how hard you shake it. You still drink lumps of powder.If you only make your shakes in a blender, I would recommed it - otherwise, I would not.
That's odd I've been using it for year's I put 2 scoop in a glass jar with almond milk shake it well and drink never any clumps. Wendell
True Athlete is my favorite protein powder because it has a short list of ingredients that are not chemical concoctions and uses only stevia as a sweetener. It dissolves well and doesn't leave a weird aftertaste like so many other protein powders. The chocolate and vanilla flavors are both excellent.
I buy this because I love the flavor, the amount of protein and it is made with Stevia. I prefer the chocolate to the vanilla. I mix it up with a frozen banana and almond milk in a blender and it is like a chocolate/banana milk shake.
I no longer support this item because they changed the formulation. Get TERAS WHEY ORGANIC here at Vitamin Shoppe! AMAZINGGG for your health plus taste.

when do you use it?
I use this as a meal replacement for breakfast. I blend 1 cup of almond milk and a frozen banana with this protein powder and have for the last 3 years. I am also a runner that averages 20 to 30 miles a week so its important that I don't get hungry on a long run. I drink it at 7am and have lunch at 11am. Plus it taste great and is made with stevia.
I use this and other whey protein mixes before and after strength-training exercise, and once a day, usually mid-afternoon, on days that I do not strength train.
Immediately post workout- I once did a second serving while trying to bulk up as well, but that post workout is Definitely advised
i use it to break my overnight fast, also as a recovery after a workout

Does this product have any soy-based ingredients or soy derived whey protein? Does it have any GMO's in it's ingredients?
According to the product description on the label it does contain Soy but mainly whey from milk. There is no indication on the labeling that it does not contain GMO's though there is a comment on the label that says: No banned substances, unlisted ingredients or harmful impurities. Which I would take to mean that if there are GMO's True Athlete has not been as truthful as they could have been. In this case Natural is only a name not to be confused with a quality. I have used this product and the vanilla version for over two years and enjoy it because it blends very well and has a pleasant taste.Good luck!
