Grateful for a moderate dose
In today's world, where those of us who are interested in vitamins are constantly having mega-doses pushed on us, I'm grateful to Vitamin Shoppe for producing a moderate dose of Biotin. I hesitated for a number of days about buying this product, though, because, to buy 300 capsules all at once seemed to be to make an enormous commitment! Earlier on, being tired of sweeping up piles of my own hairs every time I swept my floors, I decided to look into Biotin as a remedy - but, in my local pharmacy, they pushed 5000 mcg tablets on me! I tried one with breakfast one morning, and found it made me terribly dizzy. Then, I tried taking half of a tablet with dinner one evening - but that left me with severe stomach pains & resulting sleeplessness. I did notice, though, that I lost fewer hairs than usual that week - but the effect only lasted 7-10 days. So I realized I needed to keep taking Biotin, but in much smaller doses. So far, these capsules are working fine.
