I don't get some of the positive reviews and wonder if many are fake, depending on what they're used for. I tried these because I believe I am perimenopausal and my PMS symptoms have gotten much worse (uncomfortable breast tenderness, more moody and even angry, very uncomfortable feeling in urinary system area for over a week prior to starting my period, sometimes bad cramps, increased anxiety, etc), and my periods have become even odder than they always have been, not to mention a lot heavier.…

This product has been a life saver! I took this product because I have had period problems for years and can not take synthetic BC and this product cleared up my problems in less than a week! One of my issues is very low progesterone and extremely long periods. I wasn't expecting such quick results, but I'll take it!

It works....and better than other brands
Vitamin shoppe brand chasteberry helped with my PMDD symptoms. They were ruining my relationships at work because of severe moodiness 1 week prior to the start of my period. Now, my symptoms are less severe and I feel less cramping as well. I tried Gaia brand but it didn't work quite as well as the Vitamin Shoppe brand and it was more expensive. I will keep buying this product.

After an adjustment period saw huge improvement
I started taking this at the recommendation of my personal trainer after complaining of serious food cravings. Can't live without this product!!!!
My gyno recommended this product to me a couple years ago due to my periods coming about every 3 weeks and lasting 5 heavy days and 2 light days. It was ruining my sex life!! Best Answer: I wouldn't stop taking it, at least for a little while. I am 47 and have been taking it everyday for about 2 years because of very heavy bleeding. If I stop taking it, the bleeding becomes heavy again. I take 2 capsules twice a day and always have a spare bottle so that I don't run out of it!

How may do you take a day?
Best Answer: I used to take 2 a day; 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. It work for a little bit, but then it seemed to stop working for me. I wanted something natural and in the end chose to let my body just go through it's season. That worked the best! My best to you.
I have been doing some research on this product, and from what I gather it seems to work well. However, in my research it says that one needs only 20mg of the chasteberry and this has 300mg? Or am I reading it wrong. I just want to make sure it is safe before I use it?
Best Answer: I have used this product for a couple of years. I experimented with the dosage to find what works for me. I keep it by my bed and I take 2 in the morning and 2 before I fall asleep. I go off it for 5 days when I am on my period. It especially helps with the waves of irritability and moodiness. I have never had any side effects. I am not a doctor. But you could try 1 pill in the morning right when you get out of bed. I would try for 2 cycles. Then add one at night for a couple cycles til you find what is best for you. If I have forgotten to take them or I run out my husband totally can tell. He will gently ask if I reordered! Haha! Good luck!

Best Answer: I have used Vitamin Shoppe brand Chasteberry Vitex Extract capsules for 8 years. It is the only natural remedy I found that stops the hot flashes and keeps them away with a daily regimen of use. For me 2 capsules in the AM and 2 in the PM works. I had a complete hysterectomy at age 28 and used synthetic replacement until age 55. For over a year I tried multiple natural remedies but nothing took away the hot flashes except Chasteberry. That is all I use for them. If I go off them for 2 days the flashes come right back so I know it works. It is WORTH A TRY so give it a good 4-6 weeks to take effect but it could work sooner than that. My flashes were severe because I had nothing to produce any estrogen at all so for me it took a few weeks. It is a blessing to me. Abi E.
