All other brands of Gymnema Sylvestre state the standardized amount on the supplement facts page. However, I noticed that the Vitamin Shoppe brand does not. This impedes my ability to really consider the VS brand because it could have as little as 25% or as much as 75%. Depending on the amount contained, my dosage would be different. Please let me know how much it contains. I really think this should be on the label like the non VS brands. How much does the VS Gymnema Sylvestre contain?

How does this product differ from GTF Chromium 200mcg?

Best Answer:  In all honesty I'd be lying if I said that I know the biochemical differences between Chromium and Gymnema Sylvertre. From the little I've read GS is an ayurvedic herb that has been used in India for regulating blood sugar levels by acting in the intestines to slow the delivery of glucose to the blood and I believe help the pancreas process and repair itself . But again I emphasize I'm not an expert. I personnaly hedge my bets and take both without any apparent ill effects.

do customers purchase this product for Diabetes?? does it matter Diabetes I or II??

Best Answer:  I was told by a friend that a friend of theirs used this product for type 2 diabetes. We ourselves have not continued using it but maybe we should have been more consistent.

Best Answer:  This supplement is only a leaf and not an extract. Only extracts would have a measurable and consistent amount of an active ingredient. Because of this the amount is not measured in this product.
