      How do Neuro-Mag Magnesium L-Threonate AND Magnesium Citrate differ?

        Magnesium Citrate acts more like a laxative and the Neuro-Mag Magnesium is thought to cross cell membranes for better absorption of the mineral.
      I have taken several different types of Magnesium and have found the Neuro-Mag to be the best for me. I did not want a Magnesium that acted like a laxative. It is recommended to take 3 tablets however, one is my limit.

        You will have to do some research, but my information is that it is a milder form of magnesium that will not have a laxative effect. It also has greater cognitive benefits.

        Magnesium l-threonate is the only Mg to permeate the blood brain barrier whiich increases neural plasticity.

        I would think the citrate would cause loose stools if one takes too much; I like that Neuro-Mag doesn't do that, and I take 3 a day. The Neuro-Mag also benefits the brain I'm told. Mrs. M

        They are approx. 7/8" in length and less than 1/4" in diameter. They are soft capsules, not hard caplets, and very easy to swallow.

      You may return any item purchased from the Vitamin Shoppe for any reason within thirty (30) days of purchase. For online and catalog orders, the product ship date is the date of purchase. Refunds for unopened items will be issued via your original form of payment with one exception. Online orders paid for with PayPal and returned to a Vitamin Shoppe retail store will be refunded via merchandise credit.
