Lily of the Desert - Aloe Vera Gel

Love this brand of Aloe Vera Gel. I use it on my scalp and massage it in and it feels to great. I do not have to wash it out. I also use it on my skin at night, after washing my face. I started using it for my digestive issues and it helps me so much.

A little bitter, but very good appetite suppressant

I was going to use this for a “home made” moisturizer when I noticed on the bottle it said it could be taken internally as well. I tried some and found it bitter, but once I mixed it with 1tsp of the glycerin (I was also using for the moisturizer) it tasted great! Taken half an hour before a meal really suppresses your appetite!

Love this product and it works for me!

I have been using Aloe Vera Gel for over 30 + years. It is great for indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, sunburn etc. Four years ago I was suffering with diverticulitis doctors said I needed surgery I went to the vitamin store and I bought a bottle of Aloe Vera Gel and some yogurt and treated myself...it has been 4 years now i have only had a couple of flare up but nothing serious. I have a lot of faith in Aloe Vera Gel it has help our family. Works for us!!

Excellent for acid reflux (heartburn)

I am experiencing daily inconveniences of acid reflux after meals and have tried everything to avoid Tums, as they are VERY bad for you. I have tried everything from my stomach enzymes, to HCL enzymes, to regular aloe juice, to papaya and nothing has worked. FINALLY I tried this aloe vera gel and it did the trick! I took several heaping tablespoons of it before I ate and it coated my stomach and stopped me from having heartburn! Please consult your medical professional as I am not a doctor, but I just wanted to share with the readers that it worked for my severe acid reflux and was a safe alternative for me to medications and other OTC's on the market.

Best Answer: I'm sorry but I don't know. I use the gel for stomach problems. Some people ingest it every day for beautiful skin and hair. The only reason I don't take it every day is that I forget. I keep it in the refrig and forget to take it.

It's a wonderful product! I trust all of Vitamin Shoppe products. Have been using them for 20 or more years.

Best Answer: I have been taking this product off and on for years. Some people take it every day. This will definitely help with your gerd problem. It is a gel and is taken orally. And it is 100 percent aloe vera. I take the gel rather than the juice because the juice gives me loose stools. You can even use this topically for skin problems. Some people who take it every day see shinier hair. It is a wonderful product!
